I brought my truck in for a check engine light. For the second time in less than a year an exhaust vent solenoid needed replacing. I asked that the issue be looked into further as to why they keep failing. second time in less than a year an exhaust vent solenoid needed replacing. I asked that the issue be looked into further as to why they keep failing. Was told that there was likely no deeper issue and it just needed to be replaced. Matt my advisor was a relatively poor communicator. Initially dropped my vehicle on a Saturday. Part had to be ordered. When I returned later that day, he didn't remember who I was or any of our conversation from that morning. I had also asked for a quote on tires when dripping the car and again when he called me to pick it up. It was never done. Was supposed to hear back from Matt "Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.". I called on Thursday after not hearing if the part had arrived. I brought the truck back the Saturday to have the part replaced. After it was completed Matt gave my key and I went to my truck. The check engine light was still on. So a tech drove the truck out front with the light obviously still on and never thought that was a problem. Matt drove the truck to the back, brought it out a few minutes later and told me the old code just had to be cleared. The light was off. Drove home fine. When I started the truck again later that day, the light was back and has been on since. Now scheduled with a different dealer for a proper diagnosis and fix. Will not be returning to Lou Bachrodt. More
