Steve was very friendly and willing to discuss the differences in price. He made a counter offer and explained that he would not keep the car but sell it off and as such needed to pay less than if I b differences in price. My wife and I were in the market for a new car as our toyota camry lease was going to be ending. We had researched, reviewed and took numerous vehicles for test drives. We had finally decided on the 201 toyota camry lease was going to be ending. We had researched, reviewed and took numerous vehicles for test drives. We had finally decided on the 2013 Honda Accord EX-L v6 in the basque red pearl. We knew how much we should pay now all we had to do was visit the dealers in our area and get the best price. Well let me just say that I will NEVER go back to a Honda dealership again! We ended up going to a total of six different dealers and they all played the same number games. The entire process took away three weekends, numerous hours spent negotiating prices (and can I tell you it was a matter of a few hundred dollars that they were playing with us), responding to phone calls from clueless salesmen and managers who "will do whatever it takes to earn our business"....yeah okay. You could start by, oh, I don't know-GETTING US THE EXACT CAR THAT WE WANT FOR THE PRICE THAT'S FAIR! That never happened and the two incidents that pretty much cemented my frustrations further was when Herb Chambers in Seekonk gave me a trade-in price on my lease (which was inspected by Toyota just prior to turn-in and listed in mint condition/below mileage). Their final price after I walked out was 4K LOWER than kelly blue book and edmunds. Colonial Honda of Dartmouth took it one step further and told me that they have the car I want and the price I want, I just need to come down that day and sign. I came down, unfortunately, they said that the number was "too aggressive" and it had to be a car from their lot. (bait and switch) Which had neither the model nor the color. HA! bye-bye.... After giving up all hope and contemplating ritual suicide, my better half suggested we look at a used volvo. We quickly researched volvo cars and found dealers in the area. Two weren't very helpful on the phone, but sales manager Stephen Bernardo at Steingold Volvo answered every one our questions and when we said what car we were interested in looking at, he said he would have it ready for us when we came down in the afternoon. Sure enough, it was right in the shop ready to go and we took it out. We liked it and said we would be in touch. He sent us only 1 email asking if we had any questions as opposed to the constant harassment from the other leeches. We came back and decided on a different color and we played with the numbers for a few minutes and we both agreed on a final price. IT WAS THAT EASY! The showroom is nice and the waiting room is beautiful. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Stephen set up the contracts and bank loans for us and we finished everything within an hour. I cannot compliment Stephen anymore on his calm no-pressure demeanor and his salesmanship. He really sealed the deal for us and when we went back later on to pick up the car, everything was ready to go and his brother, Michael Bernardo spent a lot of time showing me all the features of the S80, which was extremely helpful. The car is fantastic, and on a side note, we paid less for the 2012 S80 with less than 15k miles then we would have if we bought the accord brand new. Don't waste your time going anywhere else folks. Go to Steingold Volvo and talk to either Stephen or Michael Bernardo and drive home with a great vehicle! More

My wife and I are expecting, and in looking for a new car, we knew that getting a Volvo made sense, given their reputation for safety (and durability - I am hoping this last part remains true). We were car, we knew that getting a Volvo made sense, given their reputation for safety (and durability - I am hoping this last part remains true). We were looking to buy an XC60. We visited another Volvo dealer closer to us (their name starts with a T, and ends with an A...), and to be honest, we were not satisfied by the experience. We usually do our research on the cars we want to buy, so the only thing we really need from a dealer is; a test drive, what options we can get with what car, negotiate on the price, and that about sums it up. Makes life easier for everyone. This dealership wouldn't even give us prices that day - instead asking us to decide on a car first, and then come back and talk them. Umm, no - we are not going to make a decision on the spot by any of the 1980s salesmen tactics, so thanks, but no thanks. We went to Steingold, and Mike was awesome from the start. No bullsh*t, no gimmicks. He listened to us, treated us great, and then saw that we knew what the xxxx we were talking about (we were not sure whether we wanted the 3.2 or the T6). Right off the bat, he arranged for us to go on a test drive with the 3.2 first, and then the T6 (so that we get to see the power difference from one to the other). And here was the unexpected pleasant surprise - he just set the cars up, and said to go for a drive without him! Yeah, we test drove two cars without the salesman gremlin in the back seat!!! I am not sure if he does this for everyone or just us (if the latter - sorry for announcing it Mike!), but it was a breath of fresh air, and just cool all around. Upon finishing the test drives, we sat down and started talking which one we liked, with what options, and prices for the ones we liked. After my wife and I left the dealership, we were wondering if we had stepped into another world - really the experience was that vast from our other dealership. We knew at that point that we would be buying our Volvo from Steingold. After we decided on which car we wanted, I went back and starting talking final price. No surprise, this part too was devoid of any bullsh*t, and just straight down to the meat and potatoes. We came to a fair deal, and then closed it. I cannot think of a single hiccup or a bump throughout the car buying experience with Mike! Let me put it this way - we're moving out of the state soon (moving to NYC). For our next Volvo (we're hoping we are satisfied with the car - so far so good though), we will be going to back to Steingold for it! If you decided on a Volvo - do yourself a favor and visit Michael Bernardo at Steingold. More

Our recent experience at Steingold Volvo was five star quality. The level of professionalism and customer service was outstanding. Compared to other local dealerships, I felt no pressure which is someth quality. The level of professionalism and customer service was outstanding. I also appreciated the honesty and the NO "lets make a deal" that you typically get at other dealerships. After we purchased the Volvo we even got a special 1 on 1 explaination to how everyting works - radio, keys, locks, and all the special features. I have purchased many cars from many different dealerships. The process at Steingold was by and far the best I have ever experienced, even better than my experiences at Mercedes Benz Westwood or H dealerships. Paul gave me a good price with no hassle and spent over an hour with me when I picked up the car explaining how everything worked.
