needing 4 wheel alignment. =Warranty … But only right front toe addressed. I returned month later and willing pay for the wheels in the “yellow” be corrected. Advisor Nick said good idea to prevent tire wear. I Waited 3.5 hours due to previous serviced car had frozen adjusters. When mine was worked on they only corrected left front toe. But print out showed all wheels had excessive camber but none in “red” but some in “yellow”. No adjustments made to rear. I was willing to pay to have cambers corrected. Mike Fuhr refused to make any more adjustments. I suspect they got “behind” and pushed me off. And said its warranty still, due to left wheel front toe issue. Don't bring your car here for an alignment even with cash in hand. Half day wasted.Never go here again for anything.

I'm sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with your recent experience, however, it's not that we refuse to make the adjustments for you. We are not able to adjust the camber and cast on your vehicle based on the information from the factory. The adjustments that our trained staff made are now within factory specs. We recognized you waited for about 2 hours, which is why we attempted to help you and gave you a loaner for the extra wait time. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions regarding your concerns.
Thank you,

for all wheels to be at negative camber is not proper. Doing regular "tire rotations" will do less to increase tire life. That is why I was WILLING to PAY to have the settings improved and Nick acknowledged this could be done. But then Nick says it's a warranty thing but it wasn't even on the "rack" and fudging the request wording on his ipad. But it seems Mike had him changing the tune to "it's withing specs", but in yellow. Yellow means something. It seems what I was told was changing due to the fact the service dept. was 3 hours behind schedule. Fact-my car was not touched till after 11:30 for an 8:45 appointment. But your guys took a short cut using the close enough, "it's under warranty attitude" and ended up with a dissatisfied customer. This is now the left wheel toe was out in RED at 2900 miles(2000 miles from before). We did not hit a Pothole with the left front, as that would be in the middle of the road and it isn't winter. We drive rt202 and rt44, no potholes. My last 2020 RAV4 lasted 45,000 miles till the tires were worn out Because the alignment was closer to the CENTER of the specs. I have had Toyotas since the 80's. So I have been around the block and do most of my own services. But Nick saying your alignment rack is calibrated every week is a false, as I know the Calibration rack alignment techs aren't in every town. Toyotas are usually made of good solid parts and the alignments are solid for 10's of thousands of miles. Maybe the time before at 1000 miles that tech in your shop left something loose on the left tie rod? As it stands now it will not make it to 35k on the tires. The only thing you guys did right was giving me a loaner. I will go elsewhere for all service. I have advised my many family and friends who own Toyotas of my experiences. I have always bought and leased my cars from the dealership that gives me the best experience with Service and sales. Service being the key item. Tell Julio, I wont in the future be buying or leasing a car for you guys.

The service adviser personally made sure the work was done by "Brian" who is a very knowledgeable service tech really knows this vehicle inside and out. After speaking with Brian I am 100% confident his work would always be done correctly.
After picking up my vehicle and inspecting the work that was done, I had zero issues.

I asked service to quote me for my wheel bearing. They told me I had to pay $120 for a diagnosis even though I already knew the wheel bearing was the issue. When they confirmed it was the wheel bearing they told me I only had to pay $60 for the diagnosis. When I saw my bill they added in an $8 charge for parts... there shouldnt be a parts fee in a diagnosis. They then told me it would be almost $1000 for the wheel bearing (labor not included). When I said no that was way too expensive they told me thats what Lexus parts cost. I told them that was not true and I could find the part way cheaper at autozone and I was not interested. At that point they said they could offer me an aftermarket wheel bearing for $650. (Labor not included). I said that was still way too much and that I would do the work myself. I ended up buying a new aftermarket MOOG wheel bearing from advanced autoparts for $175. The labor to put it on only took one hour so I had a mechanic elsewhere do it for $70. Hoffman toyota wanted to charge me $1400 for the wheel bearing and labor not including a $120 diagnosis fee. All that is just the financial reason you cant trust them. They also messed up my car. When I left after my diagnosis had been done, not even a hour later my check engine light came on, my vsc light, and my traction light. My car started sputtering and NONE of this ever happened before I brought the car to the shop. When I returned immedietly after this began happening on the same day I had picked the cat up, service told me they needed to charge me another diagnosis fee to look at it and that it must have just magically happened and had nothing to do with them. I am extremely frustrated with them. When I asked to speak to the manager he said there was nothing he could do and he reminded me that they charged me half for the diagnostic fee, as if that was more than I deserved. I feel taken advantage of and I also feel like they were doing anything they could to try and make money. There was no concern for the customer. I would never go to service there again. The hoffman body shop though, is wonderful. They did a wonderful job in a quick amount of time and I was extremely satisfied. Everyone there was great and friendly and helpful.

Hoffman Toyota responded
Hello ishonadanielle93, We apologize for any frustration you had regarding the cost of repairs on your vehicle, so I’d love to help clarify. In order to guaranty a repair, a diagnosis must be made by one of our technicians. After the diagnosis was made, your Service Advisor, Mike Fuhr, contacted you to go over the associated cost of repair. A Lexus certified part would cost $973.94 plus tax and an aftermarket part would cost $648.06 plus tax. Both of these quotes included the cost of labor and you declined to have this service performed. As an act of good faith, our Assistant Service Manager, Mike Fitzgerald, reduced the charge of the diagnosis by 50%. When you brought your vehicle back in for the check engine light our team discovered that there was a misfire code. The technicians inspected under the hood for any loose connections or obvious problems and found nothing wrong. They offered to go through a more thorough diagnosis, however you declined this service. We value you and all our customers so let us know if there is ever anything further that we can do for you. Sincerely, Alison Gilbert, Reputation Management Specialist, Hoffman Auto Group. Driven by Trust.
