I came into the service dept. on Feb. 26 with a loud muffler. Mitch was my service rep. I left my car to be checked. Mitch called me later in the day to explain the problem which was a break in the c muffler. Mitch was my service rep. I left my car to be checked. Mitch called me later in the day to explain the problem which was a break in the catalytic converter pipe. He said that if Subaru serviced it, they would have to install new parts that with the service cost could reach up to $3000, especially given that more breaks could happen when trying to replace parts. As my car is a 2001 Forester, he suggested that I take my car to one of two muffler repair shops near where I live that likely could fix the break with a welded piece. I so appreciated his clear explanation and directing me to a shop that could make the repairs very reasonably. Also, Mitch picked up that my car was due for a multi-point inspection, and after checking with me had that done. All was fine other than the wipers, which I did need replaced. My only cost was for the wiper replacement! Mitch was great to work with as he was open and friendly as well as professional. More

As always, I received great service from Bloomington Subaru Service Dept. The service dept is well run and pleasant to work with. This visit was to par my aftermarket snow tires for the TPS dashboard re Subaru Service Dept. The service dept is well run and pleasant to work with. This visit was to par my aftermarket snow tires for the TPS dashboard readout. It has proven to be a challenge; Mitch and his team tried eight times(!) to par, but with no luck. They certainly tried hard. The big lesson I learned from this is to buy directly from Bloomington rather than online sources. More

I always have a good experience there. Things are well explained to me and I'm given choices within the recommendations. I always have a budget and Mitch works out what is 'urgent' and what is a 'good id explained to me and I'm given choices within the recommendations. Ironically, one time, when I was getting a burning oil smell inside the car, Bloomington Acura was $800 less than the estimate from my local garage because Acura could figure out exactly what was wrong and the local garage (nice guys!) were a little stumped.
