Thank you for responding. However, the concerns with this truck remain unresolved. The first issue we reported shortly after purchasing the truck new on January 20, 2026 was rust and corrosion underneath the vehicle. The truck has already been returned to the dealership twice for this issue, and on both occasions the dealership kept the truck for approximately a week. Unfortunately, the corrosion concern still has not been resolved. More recently, while washing the truck, we noticed the paint on the tailgate appeared to delaminate. The surface feels wavy and gray primer is visible beneath the finish. There was no impact or dent damage to the tailgate. Given that this vehicle is essentially brand new, both the unresolved corrosion underneath and the paint failure on the tailgate are very concerning. We reported these issues promptly and have given the dealership multiple opportunities to address them. We are documenting these concerns and the repair attempts so that the issues can be properly evaluated and resolved under the manufacturer’s warranty. I will reach out directly as suggested and hope Mitch Smith Chevrolet will work with us toward a fair resolution.
