I requested a total out the door price a vehicle, they sent me an itemized proposal and it showed that in addition to the advertised price, they added another $2896.00 in reconditioning fee. the vehicle w sent me an itemized proposal and it showed that in addition to the advertised price, they added another $2896.00 in reconditioning fee. the vehicle was a 2022 with 3300 miles on it! When I asked what was done that would cost 2890.00, they said it was for an oil change and to replace 2 trim pieces. I asked if they would remove the over inflated charge, they reduced it to 1500.00. I reminded them that according to the Texas Administrative Code Title 43 Part 10 Chapter 215 Rule 215.250, the dealer must be willing to see the vehicle at the featured sales price, plus sales tax and Doc. fee. When I asked if they were unwilling to sell at the advertised price, they quickly said, "sorry we just sold it to someone else". 4 days later, the vehicle is still listed for sale on the website. Be sure to read and question all the additional charges they like to add to the advertised price! More
