Spent over 5 hours at this dealership after coming in specifically to look at new Mazdas with the advertised low APR financing. I was told they could compare rates for both the used car and the new car I originally wanted. After sitting for nearly two hours waiting to speak with finance, I used that time to research the used vehicle and discovered it was not the good deal it was being presented as. When finance finally returned, the used-car rate they offered was nowhere near the new-car APRs I had asked about. I was then told I wouldn’t even qualify for the promotional new-car rates if I wanted to pivot, which immediately raised concerns since I know my credit score. Only after pressing for clarification did they claim the issue was “student loans”, which I have never had, then admitted they were reviewing the wrong credit application (150pts lower than my score). That alone was extremely concerning. Be cautious if you come here: used vehicles may be aggressively pushed, and you should verify that your own name and information are actually on the finance quote. Otherwise, you may be given inaccurate or misleading information about your credit or rates, and be told to not believe anything you read on Consumer Reports in terms of their reliability on the CX50 to continue to push the used car on me instead of the new CX5. For comparison, I went to a different Mazda dealer the same day, purchased a new car in 2.5 hours, was allowed to test drive and view the vehicles I actually wanted, and qualified for the low APR financing without issue.
