DealerRater.com asks car buyers to share their stories. Here’s ours. My wife and I were looking for a used, late-model SUV, either a Honda or Toyota. After visiting a Honda dealer and driving both a Pilot and a 4Runner, were decided on a 4Runner. But the Honda agency’s 4Runner was not CPO and offered only a six-month warranty. My daughter went online and found a nice 4Runner at Sloane Toyota in nearby Malvern, Pa. We went there the next morning to find that the 4Runner we were interested in had been sold. Enter Sloane’s salesman Mohammed Sid’ Ahmed. Mo is the dealership’s standout salesperson, and it’s easy to see why. He called around and found a similar car at one of Sloane’s sister agencies in the Philadelphia area. He said the car would be at Sloane’s Malvern the next morning. This car was $2K more than the 4Runner we had wanted – but that was no problem. Mo knocked $2K off the car’s price and threw in a new tonneau cover, which the car lacked. As this was a Toyota dealership, the car was also CPO, with a 12-month warranty. The rest of our experience with Sloane just as customer-friendly. Getting back to Mo, he must be one of the hardest-working car salesmen around. Returned a leased vehicle and was told Sloan would adjust for any damage to the lease. Which was minimal at best. Got a collection letter saying I owes money for repairs. Have left numerous messages for the gym and sales manager with no response back. Called Toyota who is very upset that this wasn't taken care of by Sloan malversation. I've written great reviews fir Sloan Ed and Mohammed but unfortunately will not again. Please be aware that bit everything they tell you is true More
