They were amazing before the purchase - AND after! Many dealerships are your best friend right up until you actually purchase the vehicle, and then they barely acknowledge your existence. Liberty Aut Many dealerships are your best friend right up until you actually purchase the vehicle, and then they barely acknowledge your existence. Liberty Auto City has continued to check in with me to make sure all is going well with the car and have repeatedly offered their assistance if I have any questions or concerns at all. They've been wonderful to deal with and their ongoing support is great! More

if You like liars and being screwed over, go here. I was pre-approved for a general car loan, and chose to do business w/ these guys. I ended up being forced to buy a brand new 2018 vehicle and was told that it was “my only option.” The loan never specified anything other than an approved amount of money. Why would they sell me a brand new 2018 Dodge Journey when I told them my income and situation was not suitable for such an expensive car. I ended up putting my entire life savings into the down payment, and just had the car repossessed with my belongings and entire purse in it without a warning. I told them that that was what I feared, twice I went in to visit the sales associates and financial managers after being forced into taking home the car to try and work out a more realistic deal for fear of getting repossessed, and twice I was reassured that the car would not be repossessed because I could “find a way to make ends meet.” I knew this was going to happen, told them it was going to happen, and what has just happened. I am beyond upset because of knowing the entire time that I was being played. I don’t miss the car. I just wish I did business with another dealership who listens to their customers and actually has some morality to not send people out with more than they can afford just to end up in a worse situation than they started. Dealing with this company makes me wish I had never sought out purchasing a vehicle in the first place. If you are under the age of 35 and not making tons of money, DO NOT, step foot into this dealership. The manager, especially, has a very warm smile and fake kindness to him that will trap you in if you are not aware of his seasoned acting capabilities to appear understanding. More

After Sale Responsiveness to Service Issue I brought my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to have service performed on the center radio / control display which would continuously shut down and/or freeze I brought my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee to have service performed on the center radio / control display which would continuously shut down and/or freeze up on 12/20/2018. After a few hours I was informed that there has to be an update which may take a while so I would have to bring the vehicle back. I returned on 12/21/2018 and after about an hour was informed that the unit (radio) would have to be replaced and that I would have to leave the vehicle since the radio would not shut down so it would drain the battery unless it was disconnected when the vehicle was turned off. I was given a bare to the bone Dodge Caravan and sent on my way after being told the part was ordered. Today, 1/4/2019 and the vehicle is still at the dealership and the part may arrive by 1/18/2019. I have lost the use of this vehicle for what will be approximately month and been saddled with the worse possible mode of transportation as a substitute. I have contacted my service adviser (B Spriggs), my salesman (D Magana) and both the new car manager (E Deppen) and the General manager (N Kalisik) in order to get some type of better explanation and a loaner which better suits my needs. I am paying a fairly large lease payment a month and should not have to drive a piece of junk while my car is serviced for a manufacturing defect. Alas I have heard nothing back from any of these individuals regarding the status of the repair parts or another loaner. The dealership works hard to get you into a vehicle but shows little concern once the ink has dried. More

Dishonest, Deceitful Dealership I found a 2010 BMW 535 on line at Liberty Chrysler in Illinois that I liked. I called and spoke directly to the used car manager Mike Raith, asked all the details about the trade in and car condition. It took about 2 weeks to get the inspection done. The first salesman, Mike Wilson and I worked out a price for the car. And the Used car manager Mike Raith said he would cover the shipping to Michigan. This salesman kept insisting on me paying for the car in full before they would send any paper work and contract to seal the sale. He kept demanding I send the payment in full by wire or no paperwork would be sent. A second salesman entered the picture it was all the same wanting me to send the full amount for the car before they would send paperwork. His name was Jean Tudor. And how can you do business all by text on a phone? Can anybody tell me that? I finally got a inspection paper from them on the car which was blank. But the first salesman said there was oil seepage leak. didn't say where nor would they tell me. So I did my due diligence and contacted the bmw dealer it was serviced at last and they said they told the previous owner it needed a Oil Pan Gasket a $2500.00 repair. I told the Used car manager and never heard back from him to this day. They wouldn't discuss this issue, but I was still willing to move forward. I tried endlessly to make this happen and they kept putting up the same roadblock, "Send payment in full or we wont send paperwork" I left two messages for the owner on voicemail. I had one conversation with the General Manager Nate Kalisik who was rude and said he knew evrything about the business and was a very unpleasant, and unprofessional as the voicemail he left me later on was very loud and a put off. The back and forth continued for awhile and I finally had my Financial Institution contact them to get the deal and payment made so I could get my car. Again the manger of my bank called them personally and Mike Wilson told him the car was sold. I did my due diligence and to my surprise they actually lied to him and the car wasn't sold and still available. I could not believe what was happening. December 5, 2018 I sent a email to the Owner Joe Maserelli explaining the entire situation and pleaded with him to get involved to resolve it. He called me about 30 minutes later and told me that the GM Nate Kalisik was the one who decided not to sell me the car for 2 reasons: #1: He didn't like that I inquired about the Oil Leak ( are you serious) Wow #2: I asked when I can expect the car to be delivered to me (are you serious) wow I told him I was looking forward to this car and it would make my Christmas and furthermore can he find it in himself to move past this nonsense and help out a Veteran and just sell me the car. He outright said he wasnt gonna over rule Nate the GM and It was at that point that I realized that the owner wasn't running the Dealership and the GM was and the owner seemed afraid of any conflict with this guy. I also asked him why My Banking official and I were lied to and he didn't respond. Underhanded, double dealing, misleading doesn't even begin to describe the this Dealership and how it does business. Whether your out of state like me or in state stay as faraway from this place as possible. And I hope any Veterans that read take note that they do not honor vets or respect them as they have proven. As one review I read of this Dealership said "I wish there was a Zero as an option for a rating" I couldnt have said it better than that customer!! Do not do busniess at this dealership especially with an owner who is totally a hands off owner who wont make the right decision and tells the customer to go fight your own battle with my General Manager because he has better things to tend to. Stay away from this place do not do business with them. More
