Hassle-Free Experience Nothing could have gone any smoother with the experience I had at Gates Nissan! My [now previous] car had been totaled during a snowstorm and Tara/Gat Nothing could have gone any smoother with the experience I had at Gates Nissan! My [now previous] car had been totaled during a snowstorm and Tara/Gates Nissan had me in a new vehicle within one day of my initial call to them. - They were more helpful than my own dealership, where I'd gotten my my [now totaled] Impala lease from! Tara was responsive, always available, and answered questions as they arose (even by text!). I was worried about getting approved for a car and even more worried about changing from a car maker/company I was comfortable with. From the first call I made to her, she made me feel like I always had options -she never said no and offered alternatives and resolutions to issues as they arose (crucial to good customer service and unfortunately, typically often lacking). Tara made the process feel like a collaborative effort, in which we were working as a team towards a mutual goal - to get me back on the road ASAP. Everything was decided WITH Me; not decided For Me or About Me. It can often feel like it is the needs of the dealer(s) that determines what "works" for the customer, but Not in this case! The whole experience was concise, to the point, and LITERALLY hassle-free. A total of two, maybe three hours of my life were spent, from start to finish, in getting me my new car. I called Tara just before closing on a Saturday and that Monday afternoon I was driving myself to work. (It would have been that Sunday, the very next day, but I was unavailable). :-) The typical car buying process can take DAYS of nonstop annoying phone calls, back and forth emails, websurfing, negotiations, sleepless nights, an ever-nagging feeling of indecision, etc, etc. It doesn't have to be this way. It SHOULDN'T have to be this way! Thank you Gates Nissan. More

Best Car Purchase Experience Ever Having purchased several cars in my 30+ year driving life, I have never had such an easy, friendly, and fair buying experience as I did at Gates GMC B Having purchased several cars in my 30+ year driving life, I have never had such an easy, friendly, and fair buying experience as I did at Gates GMC Buick Nissan in North Windham, CT. I did a lot of online research to find the car best suited for my current needs. I could have gone to a closer local dealership, but I immediately got a good feeling about Gates after talking to Nick (one of the managers) and then Tara who did all the work in organizing my purchase. Even having to drive an hour for this purchase, I'm very glad I chose to go to Gates because (something about being in the country, perhaps?) the service is impeccable. Tara is very professional, confident, accommodating, and super efficient in getting things done so that my time at the dealership was made as simple and swift as could be. I love the car and would/will absolutely return there for any future auto purchases. More

They are not there to "sell you a car or a sales pitch" The cars sell themselves. My husband has been a loyal Nissan owner for 13 years . Nine years ago when I retired he insisted I get a Rogue. Im sold. Just recently I was in need of new vehicle, We are both retired , Suffice is to say our budget is limited. With the help of the salesman, general manager and the whole team I drove away in an affordable brand new Rogue sport. The support and care of the staff left me speechless. This does not happen in today's world. It is easy to understand why they are #1 . My husband will be heading back soon for an upgrade More

No dread! ask for Andy I dreaded buying a new car. I decided on gates after getting an online quote which was the best of 3 other Nissan dealers statewide. The price I got was very fair for both the car and my trade. But the best part was the transparency. I did the negotiating by email before I even got there and everything was broken down and in writing. No surprises. Finally after 41 years with Ford, it will be a new GMC. My husband has owned 2 new Ford trucks ( one in 1977 and the next in 1996), it was now time for a new truck. Test drove a new Sierra and a new Ford, My husband has owned 2 new Ford trucks ( one in 1977 and the next in 1996), it was now time for a new truck. Test drove a new Sierra and a new Ford, decided on the GMC. Tried one GMC dealership in RI and then decided to go to Gates GMC and check it out, remember last truck in 1996. Totally new experience for us as things have changed since 1996. Andy Fredericksen was very easy to work with. We basically knew what we wanted and Andy helped us narrow it down. He was able to answer everything for us and if he questioned anything, Nick Truax was there for verification, great teamwork. Chris Messier was also very helpful with all the financial paperwork, once again, answered everything for us. Initially we were just "looking" at trucks but as luck would have it , the perfect truck for us was there and now its home with us. Definitely worth the trip to check this place out and remember, ask for Andy. More
