Dear Allan, Thanks for writing. I'm not sure what is going on at your dealership but I'm seriously considering filling a complain at the Federal Trade Commission for false marketing. We received a letter from Michal Freeman (from Martin Main line Honda) stating the following "I"m prepared to write you a check for your 2012 Honda CR-V for (KBB price). On Saturday (for last one), you will receive an additional $5,103 for your CR-V". The letter also stated that there is almost $3K discount on a "select new Honda of your choice". As we have to change our car we thought this was a good opportunity and went to Main Line last Saturday, after a long drive. Once in the dealership, the salesman almost laughed at us when I showed him the letter, mumbling "another one" and asked me if I read the fine print, which I have done indeed. The fine print says that the $3K discount on the new Honda was conditional only buying a hybrid. The fine print for the extra $5,103 for the old Honda says "May receive $5,103 more than the estimated KBB". We saw the car we liked and when we started talking about the price the salesman told me they appraised my old car (too low be honest, but that's OK). When I asked about the extra 5,103, the salesman told me again if I read the fine print. I told him I did and the hybrid condition was not referring to the extra 5,103. He called Nino and Nino repeated the same argument. When I pushed him to read together the fine print, he said, and I quote "Here it says May receive, which mean maybe you do, maybe you don't, and I don't give you that extra amount". Then he said this letter is "made just to attract customers". This behavior is penalized by the Federal Trade Commission and I have the letter. I was trying to contact Michael Freeman (who signed the letter) all Saturday and Monday but he just denied talking to me. This is unacceptable, and I will take this to the last consequences, not because I want to buy a Honda (which I don't anymore) but because I have been fighting professionally against this behavior for a long time. Hi Rajnaz, When you lease a car it gets registered to you and the manufacturer (the state does not display the manufacturer's name on the registration). You would need to call Honda lease maturity center (1 800 708 6555) and request that they remove their name if you wanted to use the plate again, they would fax the form. Allan

Thanks for replying. But i'm tired of calling and taking. May be you can naswer me here. I transfer a old plates to my leased car and was thinking to transfer the same plates to my next car and its register in my name. How its became property of Honda? I'm responsible for that plates and even my insurance company asking if i have the plates and when i'm planning to return them to dmv in case i need to cancel my policy. My question to you, how a plates registered in my name became the property of honda?
