I've taken it back several times and each time they tell be the anomaly can't be repeated. Either their service staff are a bunch of idiots or they are lying about test driving the vehicle to identify the problem. The Koons family obviously doesn't care about their reputation and the Toyota brand. By the way Tacoma transmissions are notorious for having bad shifting solenoids. I'll NEVER purchase another Toyota. More

Last week my wife took in her Rav4 due to a check engine and other warning lights coming on and the transmission shifting poorly. While the tech was very professional in locating the potential cause, the estimate given to my wife was outrageous in price and in solution. Only after stating it was too expensive was she given an offer to repair it at about a third of the initial $3362 quote. My distraught wife called me and I instructed her to bring the Rav4 back home. After a bit of research on the error code and possible causes i located damaged wiring (2 wires) which the service tech had also found, in addition i also found evidence of a mouse or ground squirrel having been in the engine compartment. Much to my concern was the multitude of information on the internet concerning the soy based plastic insulation wiring Toyota is using and its apparent attraction to rodents. This problem is not a fault of the dealer but a potential cause of the problem and a reason for concern. Total time spent by me was less than 2 hours as the procedure was easily accomplished by removing the battery, battery tray and removing 2 zip ties holding the harness in place, soldering splices repairing the broken wiring, then reassembly. I would expect a professional mechanic to have conducted this same task in half the time as I had to gather tools, materials etc and given the fact I am not a professional mechanic. The total parts cost for the repair was under $10 as it consisted of 2 wire ties, electrical tape, solder, 6 inches of wire and heat shrink tubing. While this experience alone was enough to raise questions as to the integrity and trustworthiness of the dealership, those concerns were reinforced when the service department sent a letter 3 days later that indicated my wife had declined service to include 4 new tires and recommended their replacement. Knowing my wife (within the past few months) had purchased new tires... I went out to her Rav4 to inspect the tires for damage, unusual or excessive wear and found the tires to be in almost new condition with plenty of tread. Nothing that would warrant the purchase of 4 new tires. We have lost all trust in regards to the service department and dealership as this experience clearly demonstrates a lack of professional ethics by only offering outrageous costing solutions to loyal, trusting customers while additionally making false claims as to actual repairs needed. It was a used 2006 4Runner and I met Pete when I took the car to Tysons Toyota for service. He made sure I was completely satisfied. I was so satisfied I asked him to hook me up with a saleman and I bought my second Toyota, this time a new 2010 Rav4. From there I bought another, a used 2009 Toyota Corolla. The main reason I now have three Toyota's is Mr Pete. He personally treats us exrtremely well every time we come in for service and makes sure his employees do the same. I recommend to anyone with a Toyota or Lexus to bring it to Tysons Toyota and ask for Mr Pete. You won't be disappointed. More

My family decided to visit Koons Toyota of Tyson's based on the fact the dealership had the best price and selection of new and used cars in the area. After visiting other dealerships, we greatly appr based on the fact the dealership had the best price and selection of new and used cars in the area. After visiting other dealerships, we greatly appreciated the detail and true customer service that Toney provided us. We purchased a great vehicle without any pressure tactics or disrespect we have experienced at many other car dealerships. Toney made us feel comfortable because customer experience was his top priority. We will recommend Toney and Koons Tyson's to friends and family. More
