The car exceeded my expectations.This was my first ever car purchase, and it was a very pleasant experience. I can see now why just about every Mazda I see on the road is from Wantagh Mazda. Having looked at the reviews from this site, I called Phil to ask about pricing for a lease a of 2014 Mazda 6. As I didn't own a car at the time, my initial interaction with Phil was by phone. I immediately felt very comfortable dealing with Phil and found him to be very personable, extremely trustworthy and very transparent about the way in which the numbers I had been quoted were calculated. I ultimately visited Wantagh Mazda to meet Phil in person, finalize negotiations and test drive the car. All of my interactions with Phil, both in person and over the phone, were extremely positive ones. I felt considerably more comfortable negotiating a contract with Phil than I had with any other dealerships - - not only due to his honesty and transparency but ask due to his all round level of expertise. Phil never pressured me into anything, allowed me the time and space I needed to make my decision yet was very responsive to any queries I had throughout the process. Finally, even after I had signed the lease agreement, Phil's level of service remained excellent - he came to the car with me and spent a lot of time with me walking me through in detail all of the features in the car, helped me set up the navigation system, phone system, Bluetooth, etc, etc. All in all a very positive experience with Phil and Wantagh Mazda. I would highly recommend Phil to anyone looking for a car. His level of service is second to none and he genuinely cares about his customers. More

If they're afraid to give you a price in an e-mail it's a sure sign they want you sitting at a desk sweating as they play the "I'll see what my manager says" game, so passe in 2013. Started looking for dealer reviews online, came across some really nice things said about Wantagh Mazda, Phil Puleo in particular. I e-mailed him for a price, my cell rang 10 minutes later. He asked what I wanted, car and lease terms, promised a call back, and 10 minutes later I had all the information I needed to make a decision. When we went in to sign the quoted price actually dropped, we got the car we wanted with the options we wanted at a very fair price, there was no pressure to purchase aftermarket goodies that are 90% profit for the dealership, Phil was professional all the way. Car buying can be a headache, with Phil at the helm it was like taking a walk in the park, a wonderful pressure-free experience, highly recommended. More
