The short story is that Ramy is the best. He knows his stuff and is very helpful. I recommend him highly. I ended up purchasing a Macan T, because it was the most fun to drive. Ramy made the ordering and delivery process a pleasure and I thank him for that. He made it fun. The long story starts with my 2017 Maserati Levante S engine that spun a bearing and seized at 39,500 miles. Given that a new motor cost 40k dollars, I ended up selling the car for salvage. And, because I had purchased the car from Herb Chambers Millbury, I (somewhat unfairly) decided never to buy from a Herb Chambers dealership again. But then (rather impulsively), I decided to get off the highway after a meeting in Boston and to just go sit in a Macan at Herb Chambers Porsche Boston. I wasn't even planning to talk to anyone, I was just going to sit in the car and then leave. But, when I entered the showroom, I met Ramy and he was very engaging. I still feel l little bad that I rather quickly unloaded my tale of Maserati woe and bitterness onto him, but he was very patient with me. He stayed focused on talking to me about the Macan and its features. His sales approached was quite effective at slowly melting away my upset. The car helped too. As soon as I sat in the Macan I was pretty much sold on it. The big tach in the middle was wonderful. It had the dual clutch transmission I wanted. The S had the big engine I wanted. It also came in Papaya orange and suddenly I wanted an orange car. A few days later I returned and Ramy let me test drove both the Macan S (6 cylinder) and the Macan T (4 cylinder). To my surprise the Macan T was much more fun to drive. The S felt heavy like the Maserati. The T felt light and nimble. So, with Ramy’s help I ordered an orange Macan T from Germany. After that I stayed in touch with Ramy as the car was manufactured and delivered to the dock in Germany. Ramy put up with my updates on the Ro-Ro ship’s progress as it crossed the Atlantic. It was very exciting when the boat circled in the English channel for 4 days while it waited for the 50 foot waves in the Atlantic to settle down. Once delivered to the dealership, Ramy set up the car and went through all of the features with me. Then there was a big send off and lots of waving goodbye. It was very fun. And, that is it. It was and excellent experience and will remain a good memory. Thanks Ramy! Oh, and the Macan is wonderful to drive! More
