It is with serious regret and extreme disappointment that I complete this review, with little expectation of a solid resolution. This most recent purchase is my 3rd at bat and im 0-3 with this dealership, bu I complete this review, with little expectation of a solid resolution. This most recent purchase is my 3rd at bat and im 0-3 with this dealership, but I digress. Allow me to outline my experience. A- i received calls and texts alerting me I can benefit by trading in my Durango within a limited time B- I accepted a call from Parker who is very nice and polite with a calm demeanor. He claimed to want to purchase my Durango. He informed that I can upgrade my Durango and lower my monthly payment with zero money down. C- I arrived within a week but he assured that I could still get whatever sales gimmick was going on. I have no recollection of what exactly that was. D- I narrowed it down to a Jeep Gladiator in keeping with a modest budget under 50,000. Similar to the Durango. E- Once I was seated at his desk, he asked me what were the factors most important to me. He sounded so sincere that I felt he could actually honor my requests. I wanted to get financed on my own with a similar monthly payment in a 4yr contract and zero deposit. I was not approved by the lender with the lowest interest rate. I was approved with a 9% rate- which I was unaware if that was good or bad. The floor manager came over, put that paper in front of me, which should have been a comparison of different options for the same contract. (I think) However there was only one monthly payment price in every block. $851 for 8 years!! Keep in mind, I was quite comfortable paying $650 when my actual payment listed was $575 for 6 years for my durango. I told Shady I absolutely CANNOT make that payment as I am on a fixed income. I am shocked in that moment. Shady suceeded and pushed thru my sensibilities and objections. His only suggestion being "you can always refinance after 8months and lower the payment" Really- who does that actually work for? I was locked into Ally without that option even though the previous salesman 4 yrs prior, suggested the same. I had every red flag in front of me. I actually started crying right at Parkers desk because I felt I HAD to go through with it. I was afraid of the repercussions. All of a sudden I felt like prey and I was ashamed of it. I got tunnel vision so severe that I didnt hear or comprehend anything in the finance office. I remember that our conversation was about general life stuff. Like two strangers getting acquainted. It was NOT about the very terrible contract. I hardly think yr guys would point out things that are not in my best interest. See your guys know the numbers and exactly what they mean. I dont sign very many contracts but this one just stank. I drove home in silence with regret and shame in a beautiful Jeep. Two days later I get a call to come back in as soon as possible. Parker just said he forgot to have me sign one more form. He gave me no details. Until AFTER I signed it. What he told me was that my contract was incorrect in that it listed me as EMPLOYED instead of retired. And he hoped that the Lender wouldn't bail out. That sounded ominous so i got the heck outta Dodge. Lol Which brings me to the conclusion. Truist, as the leinholder, sends me a congratulatory note which lists the particulars of the purchase. It states that I am obligated to pay $968 every month. Im flabbergasted at the ridiculous number that this payment has ballooned to. I give up. Ill give up this beautiful Jeep if you'll allow it. I couldnt afford it when I drove off with it, but now im certain. Now- I dont know for certain that there is a villain in all this. That i was taken advantage of, maybe a little. But there certainly seems to be elements of bait an switch tactics. I want no apologies of this and that. I need resolution, quickly. I will look forward to speaking with no less than the General Manager. Thank you for your time. More
