After several months of research and comparin We just took delivery of our 2020 Durango GT Blacktop within the last few days, and couldn't be happier. After several months of research and comparing between the Durango, Explorer and Pathfinder, we made our decision to purchase a Durango. Although there are a few local Dodge dealers with in 5 minutes of my house, a referral led us to SouthOak Dodge in Matteson, Illinois which is about 30 minutes farther. I reached out to one the Managers, Ray by text, explained who I was, who referred me and what I was looking for. Within 3 minutes Ray responded and we setup a time to meet the next day to look at the Durango I was eyeballing. When I arrived and met Ray for the first time, it didn't feel like we were strangers, rather old friends. His outgoing personality made me feel right at home, not like this was a business deal. Ray then introduced me to Randy Cowley, the Salesman who would be showing me the Durango and my go to guy for the rest of the deal. Much the same as Ray, Randy and I made some small talk and I again felt welcomed as an old friend. The weather that day was nasty. Randy had the Durango pulled in to a warm bay and cleaned like it was on the showroom. Randy showed me the in's and outs of the Durango and then we went on a test drive. As we drove around we continued to make small talk, but really felt like we had known each other for a long time. Randy was friendly, welcoming, easy to talk to and simply had a positive attitude. During the test drive we talked about each others families while Randy continued to show me the features of the Durango. After the test drive was the part everyone dislikes, the money part. My situation was a bit different, I had no trade and my financing was already set thru my Credit Union. All I needed was a number both sides could agree upon and that did not take long at all. The original number I had in mind was different than the dealerships original number, but not by much. After a few minutes of going back and forth, we settled on a number that both sides agreed with. The time I walked into the dealership, took the test drive and settled on a number was 30-35 minutes. I knew what I wanted, SouthOak Dodge had the Durango and the staff to make this happen, quickly, affordably and without any complications. There was no pushing to buy extra this or that, nor get financing thru the dealership rather than my Credit Union. I never once felt like a stranger or pressured into something I did not want. Once the financial part was done I returned with my wife and Ray and Randy continued to be warm and welcoming. Although Randy had walked me thru the Durango earlier, he showed my wife the Durango and its feature again. Randy was thorough, knowledgeable, polite and treated my wife like she was a long ago friend as well. Randy and Ray not only know their vehicles, but they know how to treat people with dignity and respect, not as though this is merely a business arrangement. It's been 4 days since we drove the Durango home and have heard from Randy twice asking if we had had any questions, or needed anything, as well as a follow up email from Ray. In a 5 star world, this is a 10 star dealership. They not only worked with us to get us what we wanted at a price we were comfortable with, but made us feel as though we were family. No doubt we will be going back to SouthOak Dodge to buy our next vehicle, but will be calling Randy and Ray to make that happen. More

Painless and Professional What can we say...? We drove 1.5 hours to this dealership...not something we would ever do...but Randy actually accommodated my husband by discussing What can we say...? We drove 1.5 hours to this dealership...not something we would ever do...but Randy actually accommodated my husband by discussing the purchase of the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit (wait for it...) 'over the phone...!! When we got to the dealership, Randy was waiting for us. He had the car ready as promised. He completed his portion of the transaction and handed us off to Leo Estrada for the financing portion of the transaction. Both men were knowledgeable and professional, courteous and friendly.
