Dealership I go there for all my maintenance work. All the service employees are very polite and nice. The wait for your car to finish is not bad at all. I go there for all my maintenance work. 90 minutes for oil change? Too long to wait for oil change, free or not! Come on with the wait time. Not everyone can leave it and come back later. Too long to wait for oil change, free or not! Come on with the wait time. Not everyone can leave it and come back later. More

Pitiful Service Department I don't know if the change over to Jim Ellis has caused the service department to slip into subpar territory but something has changed. From Aug. 3 to I don't know if the change over to Jim Ellis has caused the service department to slip into subpar territory but something has changed. From Aug. 3 to now, we have had to take my 2018 4Runner in for the same problem 6 times. It all started when the tire pressure sensor light came on. My mechanic husband checks the pressure and one tire was low but the other tires were at 40 psi. The door panel clearly states 35 psi. When I asked the service manager why they overfill the tires with Nitrogen, I was told to accommodate for temperature changes. I could've sworn nitrogen was supposed to be more stable than air, thus not fluctuating as much as air, especially in August. As it turned out, I had a nail in my tire. They took 4 HOURS to patch the tire and put it back on. That is with a 7 AM appointment by the way. As I get on down the road, I notice that at around 60-64 MPH, my steering wheel begins to shake. After several attempts to reach a service manager with no response, I finally made another appointment. The problem still wasn't fixed. After several more attempts, I finally reached Julio who had me bring the car in and rode along for a test drive to see what the problem was. That was fine and dandy. They did a road force balance on the tire that was patched and the problem was solved! Until a week later when the tire pressure light came back on. I made yet another appointment, dropped the vehicle off. When I returned, I was told that there was yet another nail in the same tire as before. They would patch it and order a new tire under the Road Hazard coverage we purchased. So I had to bring it back again. The new tire is on. At this point I was told that the truck would need an alignment and until I had an alignment it would shake in the steering wheel. Bull. I continue to have vibration in the steering wheel despite 6 visits to the dealer, two in which I dropped the truck off and left in a loaner car, and a new tire. The service department is a scam and simply wants to sell services that aren't needed. My truck does not in fact need an alignment but rather it needs to be properly balanced. They consistently overfill the tires which causes accelerated tread wear so you'll purchased overpriced tires from them. During one of my many waits at Jim Ellis Mcdonough, we overheard another service manager assistant trying to scam another young lady out of an $800 service plus new tires. She was about to go for it but my husband spoke up and she ended up saving a lot of money. I will NOT be taking my vehicle back to Jim Ellis McDonough as we plan to take it to another dealership with better customer service. I will add that the service manager assistants were decent to work with but their service department makes their jobs difficult as they have to put up with frustrated customers like us. It'd probably help if the service techs actually stayed in the back and did some work instead of coming up to the customer lounge emptying the snack basket and taking bottles of water. More
