It was a pleasure buying my new car from Rick. He is easy to work with and does not use any high pressure sales tactics. All around great experience and I would highly recommend buying from him. Rick T was dedicated to making sure I got the car I wanted at the price I needed. I believe I got a very fair deal on my car and on my trade in. Rick followed through and communicated with me throughout the process, and was available even after I took possession of the car. Now I know why my wife has been going back to him for her cars for the last 20 years. Awesome job, Rick! More

First and foremost, I’d like to start out by saying I have leased two(new) Jeeps from Dick Scott in Fowlerville, but because of skyrocketing prices all over, I was unable to lease another new Jeep. My sa have leased two(new) Jeeps from Dick Scott in Fowlerville, but because of skyrocketing prices all over, I was unable to lease another new Jeep. My salesman’s pulled up a couple of used options, I chose a 2015 white Grand Cherokee Laredo with pretty decent mileage. 133,000. Upon test driving the car, I thought I noticed a sort of hiccup sensation when I would accelerate, I mentioned it to my salesman, and he informed me that the car had only been at the dealership for roughly a week. I was told technicians hadn’t even gotten around to inspecting it. I was told they were going to put on new tires, new brakes, an oil change, fix the cracked windshield, and their routine point inspection. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the tires were visibly new, and I trusted that the breaks, oil change, and inspection had been performed with no ailments found. I drove the car home, approximately 9 miles from the dealership, the cars “hiccup” had only gotten worse. I called my salesman and informed him I was still having issues. He told me to bring the Jeep in, and they would take a look. Upon putting the code diagnostic device into the Jeep, a recall popped up for the power train: transmission control module. I set up an appointment and I was told that issue had been taken care of and I was good to go. After leaving the dealership, the car was driving no better than it was on the initial test drive. It got worse to the point that I was driving down the road and the car completely seized, the engine light came on, and would not shift gears or drive. Forcing me to pull over, I call the dealership, Service told me to come back in if I could make it there or have it towed. I turned the car off, waited 10 minutes, and was able to make it to the dealership, upon which another code popped up. Clutch C and D are defective. Made another appointment, left the car there for two days, come to find out there are 6 active codes. Final diagnosis? New transmission needed. End result? Because I bought the car “as-is” the dealership called me with a fine settlement, they will replace my transmission with a used one. Total cost: $6,400 and some change. And they were willing to go halfsies with me. How generous is that? Paul is one of the most difficult, pompous men I have ever had to deal with in a professional situation like this. He talked over me, he did not allow me to explain, and I was made to feel like an inconvenience for expecting a reliable car that I purchased from a supposedly reputable dealership that I trusted. I was also told after missing two consecutive weeks of work, due to this issue, that they had NO loaners. Not one available, and that there were 4 other people ahead of me waiting for loaners. I was told it could be weeks before I got a car. All I was offered was a shuttle to get home. Just wanted to say what a horrific experience this has been, never again would I recommend this place if you’re looking to buy a reliable used car. I would go to Brighton or Pinckney Chrysler any day. Not only has this been stressful, time consuming, but a huge financial burden as well. Update: 1.5 years later……. The total spent on the Jeep (after the purchase price of $16,000+tax and title) is $11,478.05 and counting, (I still owe the bank $12,000, the Jeep, after the replacement with a used transmission has never ever worked or shifted or run properly, in fact, the laundry list of items still needing repairs after the last time it was in service on 6-24-25 is uppers of $4000+, I had to stop the tech, it was too much!! This dealership has cost me my job, and the debt I’ve incurred is catastrophic for me and my daughter, I’ll never be able to repay the debt I’ve accumulated, I lost an incredibly good job, that I loved, because of unreliable transportation, I held off posting this review, but I feel it’s important that you all know what scammers and liars they all are at Dick Scott Motor Mall More
