Matthew’s Kia of Schenectady is disgustingly negligent and almost killed my entire family because they didn’t tighten bolts when doing an engine replacement. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEM. They are a night and almost killed my entire family because they didn’t tighten bolts when doing an engine replacement. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEM. They are a nightmare. Quick background: We took our Kia Stinger GT to Matthew’s for many services, the last service we got was an oil change. 10 days later our engine seized. It’s painfully obvious that something happened at the oil change. After a frustrating few weeks, rude service teams members, the service manager tells us that the new engine would be paid for by KIA because of some recall—yes, they lied to KIA corporate too. I had videos and several recordings on the lies they told us. They worked on our car without permission, tampered with our car, held the car hostage for 10 months (while it rotted on the lot and rodents went to town on our wires). When they finally started work on our car, apparently they didn’t install the engine correctly. I actually had the master tech of another dealership (where it sits today—because the entire steering shaft and axel is screwed up because they only hand tightened bolts—there was even bolts they never even installed) say he had never seen anything so grossly negligent. 4k worth of damage thus far and I don’t even know if I want my car back. What else do they screw up?? This has been a two year kia Matthew’s nightmare. Literally if you are going to the service department here be prepared for rude service members who will lie, deny and delay while xxxxxxx on your back and telling you it raining. Kia corporate is now is now investigating. We shall see how this goes. I’m not optimistic. More

I had an appointment for 2:30 pm on Thursday. By Friday at 4 pm they hadn’t looked at my car. I am left with a car that now has an expired inspection and a dashboard full of error lights. My T By Friday at 4 pm they hadn’t looked at my car. I am left with a car that now has an expired inspection and a dashboard full of error lights. My Telluride has less than 40,000 miles and has had many problems already. It’s unacceptable to hold someone’s vehicle with a potential $500 invoice for service and be so incredibly non-communicative and then not actually even go into the car! The level of service was so poor that it was literally non-existent. More

Do not use the service department. Made an appointment for when they opened for a friday 2 weeks out to get my ac and heating looked at. I dropped it off and then it took me calling 5 times the following Monday to hearing any about my car, only to be talked to like i was wasting his time looking for an update on my car and find out that they were looking into something I didn't bring it in for. And while I admit I snapped and swore at the service rep for his attitude treating me like an inconvenience due to and I quote "the service rep handling you car is off today and I have to hand not only his 50 customers but my 50 as well so take your attitude some where else". So they want me to believe that they have at least 100 customers worth of cars being worked on is bull. And I find it unacceptable that it took me calling 5 times 4 days later to get an interaction like that. I guess the only "customer service" this place has is in the sales department. Then after haveing to scheduled another 8am appointment for the 24th and dropping off my car again to have them look at the car for the same issue due to heing in the 90 day 4000 mile warranty. I called them at 3pm and they had no info on the car. I was told by early morning on the 25th that I would have something. I call them at noon they still didn't have any info on it and said the tech was doing a test drive. I then decided to just get a ride to the dealership. I get there at 1pm and to find that they hadn't moved my car as it is in the same spot I left it with the same mileage. And after the last time i had to deall with xxxx service I walk in with a temper. They then try and tell me it was a drop off not an appointment. And it felt like the only reason my car started to get moved is due to trying to shut me up and stop making a scene. So I as I said the last time I wrote sales team is wondering. More
