We purchased a Palisade Calligraphy from this dealership Feb 2021. No problems. Sep 2021 we went back to Mitchell to purchase another vehicle. My husband took his 16 yr old F-150 to be evaluated for a trade Feb 2021. No problems. Sep 2021 we went back to Mitchell to purchase another vehicle. My husband took his 16 yr old F-150 to be evaluated for a trade-in. The person who evaluated the truck and the salesman, Mr. Lavoie found engine issues and said the truck could not be traded in. Mr. Lavoie approached my husband and accused him of, "trying to rip them off!" I am furious with these people for besmirching the integrity of my husband. I now assume Mitchell Hyundai expects prospective customers with trade-ins, to have in hand, a report from a certified mechanic, who has gone over the vehicle and annotated any flaws or mechanical issues! Sorry, that is not the way it is done, Mitchell Hyundai!! I tell you how much I want for the trade-in, you check out the vehicle, then you tell me your findings and how much trade in you allow, if any! You DO NOT treat a customer with such disrespect! You should have on your staff, someone qualified to evaluate trade ins! You should also have on your staff, salespeople who do NOT insult the integrity of a customer. We will NEVER purchase another car from Mitchell. I will drive past your dealership, and go to Dothan! I never expected such treatment from Mr. Lavoie. He was all schmooze in Feb. and totally out of line and inappropriate. More
