DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CONSIDER YOUR NEXT BIG PURCHASE. THANK ME LATER. I have Been dealing with this dealership (Arlington Acura of Palatine) tha PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CONSIDER YOUR NEXT BIG PURCHASE. THANK ME LATER. I have Been dealing with this dealership (Arlington Acura of Palatine) that I purchased a car from for about 6 months now. I’ve worked the chain of leadership from my salesmen (Roger McClintock) to the general manager (Gene Shenkman) to try and resolve the ILLEGAL methods they went about through selling me the car. They first off explained when I walked into the dealership and chose my car that the only way a bank would finance me was that a “extended warranty” would have to be added. I knew it was complete nonsense but continued through because I got the car for below MSRP (which changes later) and also wanted to take advantage of the $4,000 rebate that Acura was offering to previous owners that I qualified for. They then told me after a signed the deal that it was not approved and I had to come back with the car and find new financing. Their Finance Manager (David Pasula) told me when I came back they found a new finance company that approved me and that I need to sign it or that they will take the car back and any money I put down out of pocket ($10k). I asked multiple times for him to print or review the bill of sale / retail service agreement to ensure it was the same deal before signing (which by law has to be disclosed). David reiterated to me “I’ve got other customers, you either sign or we take the car back and you lose your downpayment of $10,000”. Not the best way to treat a customer making a relatively big purchase on a $40k+ car. I signed in panic not knowing he lied to me about getting my money back and losing the car if I didn’t sign. Once I received my copies things seemed different than the original. The retail service agreement changed and did not add up or equal to the contract in addition to other multiple things after further review. There are ILLEGAL wrong doings that David had done within managing all the applicable paperwork in which he unlawfully changed the deal without me being able to review by law after repeatedly asking him for a copy before signature per the ILAW 553-IL-ARB-E 1/20. One of those David unlawfully managed being; (besides forcing, lying and illegally filing a sale/not disclosing full details of the contract) a $4k rebate on the contract was never disclosed. It is ILLEGAL to NOT disclose a rebate on a finance contract. When I went back to him shortly after to discuss other things along that, David admitted they are forcing markups/warranty/contracts on cars without peoples knowledge in which I have proof on. This is not surprising considering another Illinois dealership this year was in a lawsuit for adding additional markups which ended in them paying a $10+ million dollar settlement. David after our conversation mentioned he does not want to deal with me so I had to turn to one of their Sales Managers (Adam Grubbs). After multiple attempts going into the dealership trying to work with Adam to have him get me in touch with any finance manager, Adam admitted that I wasn’t wanted nor liked by anyone at the dealership. I tried talking with my Salesmen(Roger McClintock) who was also knowingly in on the ILLEGAL agreement, made a hiatus in front of customers playing the victim that I was accusing him of any wrong doing and trying not to be involved. I then of recent got in touch with a finance manager (Aaron Useini) in which I asked for a copy of a signed retail agreement. He gave me in what I believe was an on the fly attempt at putting together a fraudulent type of retail agreement that did not have my signature and none of the numbers added up to my contract or the original retail agreement. Not even the dates… I then asked why I couldn’t get a valid signed copy or the deal recap in which he said wasn’t available. I was told all the original copies of anything goes to their main site at Lexus of Arlington right down the road after 90 days. I went over and got all original contracts, retail purchase agreement and everything I needed that were properly signed by me. I mentioned to Crystal I., who handed me the copies, that I got a fake non-existent retail purchase agreement from Arlington Acura and asked if these were all the copies that she had access to. I found out the ILLEGALLY forced/threatened re-sign to the un-matching contract and retail service agreement was never even sent over to their main building at Lexus Arlington. Turned out that the second forced/threatened re-sign I did with David Pasula was never even filed to be correctly sent to them. I went back to Arlington Acura and asked once more for a signed copy of the original paperwork and they told me they do not have it at all and would no longer work with me. It’s funny they don’t have the second threatened/forced re-signed paperworks at all other than a fraudulent unsigned retail agreement that doesn’t even match the original copy I was given. All I’m asking for and hoping for is this review helps other people especially during the crazy market for cars at the moment to AVOID ALL BOB ROHRMAN DEALERSHIPS AT ALL COSTS. ESPECIALLY ARLINGTON ACURA OF PALATINE. Hopefully someone in CORPORATE will reach out to me and try to fix this because it is my hard earned money out of pocket that was taken and ILLEGALLY contracted and violated my legal rights as a consumer. This review is all in my own truth and I have evidence/proof on everything I have mentioned. Other than that, I’m praying for CORPORATE to reach out to make this right after seeing this review. I will give it a week or so to see if I am contacted before I take any next steps which may be with the Better Business Bureau, Etc. More
