I recently purchased a Toyota Gold Certified vehicle from Maplewood Toyota this past Saturday. I want to start by saying that the salesperson I worked with was great — professional, helpful, and easy to work Maplewood Toyota this past Saturday. Unfortunately, the issue I experienced falls completely on management and the dealership’s internet team. The online listing for the vehicle included photos that showed features the vehicle I purchased does not actually have, including black TRD wheels and additional black trim accents. The vehicle itself is very similar in overall appearance, so I did not immediately notice the differences during my walk-around. I am not an expert in Toyota trim packages, and because this was advertised as a Toyota Gold Certified vehicle, I trusted that the listing accurately represented what I was buying. When I later realized the discrepancy and contacted the dealership, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled by Mike Zin, the sales manager. Instead of taking time to understand my concern or acknowledging that incorrect photos may have been used, I felt dismissed very quickly. There was no willingness to accept any responsibility from the dealership’s side, which was frustrating. I understand that I inspected and test-drove the vehicle prior to purchase, but accurate online representation still matters — especially when the differences involve trim-level features that are not obvious to the average customer. Again, the salesperson did a great job, but the handling of this situation by management and the internet team left me disappointed. I hope the dealership takes steps to ensure listings accurately reflect their vehicles and that customer concerns are handled more professionally in the future. More

We needed an AWD car in a market that is so very tight. Maplewood Toyota had a lightly used RAV 4, which we purchased, and has been just excellent. Our salesman, Cha Yang, is absolutely outstanding. I have bought 3 XLE Camrys, an XLE Avalon, a Hylander for our daughter, and now a wonderful Platinum Hylander, all from Maplewood Toyota and Jim Miller. Worst Customer Service I have ever received in my life The people at Maplewood Toyota are extraordinary unhelpful and treat their customers with absolute contempt, it's like once you buy the car, they've g The people at Maplewood Toyota are extraordinary unhelpful and treat their customers with absolute contempt, it's like once you buy the car, they've got your money and no longer care enough to even pick up the phone and answer a simple question. They're a group who's incompetence is matched only by their spite towards their customers. I would never recommend Maplewood Toyota to anyone. If you're even thinking about going there, don't. Try any other Toyota Dealership and you'll be ten times happier. I had attempted to do a lease buy-out in November 2019, but was unable to obtain the assistance of Maplewood Toyota's Finance Department. At that time, I found it nearly impossible to get anyone from Finance on the phone. If you call the Maplewood Toyota general number for sales or service, and ask for Finance, you get transferred to another person. At that point, I request to speak to someone in finance, and I am placed on hold. No one from Finance ever picks up the phone, though other departments pick up the phone every few minutes to ask what I need, and I request to speak to someone in finance, only to be placed back on hold. This goes on forever. Today I was on hold for 28 minutes and never was able to speak to someone in Finance, and the only way I could get anyone from Finance on the phone last fall was to contact a Manager and request they put me in touch with someone in that mysterious department. This was the worst customer service I have ever had. I would think the role of the deanship is to assist customers in buying out their lease, but apparently since I am not borrowing from Toyota Finance, I am not important enough to get any assistance from Maplewood Toyota. Since my terrible service experience with attempting the lease buy out in November, and a repeat of the inability to get anyone at Maplewood Toyota to pick up the phone, I have been getting my vehicle serviced at another Toyota Dealership who's Customer Service has been consistently excellent. I contacted them today after the endless hold with Maplewood Toyota and was immediately able to get assistance with my lease buy out from their finance department. Maplewood Toyota should be shut down and driven out of business as soon as possible. Go anywhere else, but you'll be sorry if you make the mistake of working with these clowns. More
