It also needed scratches buffed & was missing a remote for the entertainment system. A half hour later, our salesperson, Ryan, texted me asking what it would take to earn our business. We negotiated entirely via text, and Ryan agreed to knock just under $900 off the car price and add $500 more to my trade-in value. They also agreed to buff out the scratches and give us money towards a new remote. With a deal explicitly struck over text, we set an appointment for today to drive the car one more time and finalize the sale. We were excited about this deal. We even received 2 texts and a personal phone call to remind us of our appointment. We drove 40 minutes to the dealership, only to be told the car had been sold to someone else just two hours prior. Ryan offered a weak apology, shook our hands, and we left. They wasted our time, went back on a finalized text agreement, and showed zero integrity. Do not trust an appointment or a deal made here.
