A wonderful experience I’m not sure how many words I get for my review, so hopefully I am able to convey my enjoyable experience clearly. The thought of buying a new car was I’m not sure how many words I get for my review, so hopefully I am able to convey my enjoyable experience clearly. The thought of buying a new car was very stressful for me, as I am notoriously cheap. But, finally my wife and I decided to do some car lot browsing. We had bought our first two cars together at another location and had a great experience there, so they had my loyalty and trust. Unfortunately, my latest visit was met with indifference. Every car we found that we were interested in was “unavailable” for curious reasons. The salesman never even rose from his chair to shake hands. I don’t want to be treated as an inconvenience, especially when I am the one spending tens of thousands of dollars. I didn’t want to try a new place, but that was the position we were in. We drove a few other places, mostly looking at used cars. We didn’t see much, and decided to try some new cars. What could it hurt? I believe in keeping business local, so I drove to Weber. I’m glad I did. We hadn’t been on the lot for very long when Bobby greeted us. To be honest, we hadn’t done any research, but Bobby was very patient with us. He walked us through several options based on our needs. We made our lack of readiness to buy apparent, and he encouraged us to use the website to do research and to call him in the process moving forward. At home, we browsed the website, which was a lot of fun playing with filters and looking at vehicles we could never afford. I’ll admit we also took this opportunity to look at other car manufacturers. We talked briefly about perhaps going elsewhere to look, but we agreed that since Bobby had been so kind that we needed to give our business to him. So about a week later we came back to see Bobby. He was again a delight to deal with and really made the experience pleasant and made my extreme cheapness subside slightly. We bought a very nice vehicle that we are excited about. We were talking last night that it will probably be the vehicle my son learns to drive in. Pretty exciting. I also want to mention that everyone else at Weber was very kind. We have 3 kids, and I know we tend to sprawl out and make a disproportionate level of noise, but no one complained. Another salesman brought us an extra chair from his desk. A lady was kind enough to change the channel so the kids would be distracted by the magic of Disney. Everyone was smiling and friendly, One small criticism though, as my wife was pulling back into the lot after our second test drive, I received a follow up call from a lady about our first visit with Bobby. She was very kind and pleasant, but I don’t think she really cared what I said. She asked how our experience with Bobby was last week. I said, actually we’re back right now test driving a car. Undeterred, she said, “Well, I can set you up for another appointment if you’d like”.... I tried to reinforce that we were, in fact, at the dealership at that very moment test driving a car. She just said something about if I needed anything or wanted to set up another appointment I could call her. It just seemed like a very scripted, robotic call. More
