I waited an inordinate amount of time for my car to be repaired. The wait for the dealership to obtain approval of the repairs under the warranty was too long and I had to call the warranty company myself. I had brought the car in for repair in March and was charged $1,300 for repairs that did not fix the problem. I then waited to be scheduled for July 7, to have the Problem repaired. In the interim I made calls to the dealership even requesting that the service manager contact me, which he never did. I did receive a note from the parts department stating that the part that I had been waiting months for and which was sitting in the dealership waiting for them to schedule my repairs would be returned as it was waiting so long and not being repaired. I was dissatisfied with the service and had to pay $250 when they never fixed it to begin with.

Thank you for this feedback. We're very sorry to see that you didn't have the best experience at our dealership. While we're disappointed to learn that we didn't meet your expectations, we'd love to try to turn things around and make sure the same thing doesn't continue to happen.

How are you going to turn this around? What are you going to do to make this right? You said you would love to try to turn things around please tell me how you are going to make this right and what you will do so this does not happen again? I will wait to hear from you.

incredibly kind and professional you were to me when I picked up my vehicle. When you stepped in, apologized for how I was treated, and ordered the brake fluid flush to be done for free, you showed me what true customer service looks like. I am deeply grateful that you stood up for me when I was feeling overwhelmed. While I truly appreciate your personal intervention, the core issue regarding the $600.00 charge for front brake pads and rotors remains unresolved. I am writing this letter in hopes that we can resolve this matter amicably between us, as my anger is directed entirely at the deceptive actions of my service advisor, Sal, and not at you or the dealership as a whole. To help clarify why I am requesting a refund of the $600.00, I wanted to share the exact timeline of what Sal put me through: 1 Monday, 7:30 AM: I dropped my vehicle off and paid a $189.00 diagnostic fee to look into an engine issue alongside my CarShield coverage. 2 Monday, 2:00 PM: Your department filmed an internal diagnostic video showing the condition of my brakes. Sal did not share this video with me. 3 Monday, 5:00 PM: Sal called right before closing to state CarShield approved the caliper, wiper motor, and oil pan gasket. He stated I owed $340.00 out-of-pocket for extra items (brake hoses/gaskets). I approved the $340.00. Sal completely omitted any mention of needing front brake pads and rotors. 4 Tuesday, 5:00 PM: After holding my car for 33.5 hours, Sal called right at closing time with an unexpected ultimatum: he stated the shop

could not finish the already-approved warranty caliper work unless I paid an additional “$600.00 for new brakes”
5 Because I am on a fixed income, this sudden $600.00 shock caused me immense distress, and I could not authorize it that evening.
6 Wednesday Morning: Trapped without a vehicle, I had to scramble to find a credit card to cover the cost. I called Sal Wednesday morning to give the go-ahead, but explicitly requested that my old parts be saved and returned to me so I could have peace of mind that the repair was necessary.
7 Pickup Day: Sal called to tell me he threw away the old brake pads, which meant I could not verify their condition. When I arrived, a different employee kindly showed me the Monday 2:00 PM video and asked if Sal had sent it to me (proving Sal had the information for over a day before telling me).
8 Furthermore, Sal falsified my invoice, writing that I "denied" a brake flush just to alter the final bill numbers.
As you know, you personally witnessed my confrontation with Sal over that falsified invoice and stepped in to fix it. Sal's actions put me under immense, unnecessary duress by withholding information until closing time and discarding the brake pads I legally requested under Conn. Gen. Stat. § 14-65h.
My Request to You
Frank, because you were so understanding of what I went through, I am asking if you can please issue a refund of the $600.00 for the brake repair. Sal's behavior stripped away my right as a consumer to make an informed decision or shop around for a better price.
I truly want to resolve this with you directly. However, if we cannot reach an agreement within ten (10) business days, I will feel forced to take this matter to the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Consumer Complaint Center and the Connecticut Small Claims Court to recover the $600.00 and court fees.
Thank you so much for your time, your empathy, and your continued help in resolving this situation.
Sincerely
Efficient service and good communication Efficient
