Piazza Genesis/Hyundai is the most unethical car dealership I have ever worked with in my 58 years. I was hoping to buy a 2023 Genesis GV70, but unfortunately I came across this lying employee by th dealership I have ever worked with in my 58 years. I was hoping to buy a 2023 Genesis GV70, but unfortunately I came across this lying employee by the name of Jodi Matheson. I located a GV70 in-transit to the dealer via the Genesis Concierge service, which was very helpful. Jodi told me (before the car even reached the lot) that the vehicle has a $3,700 upcharge for a “tire/wheel protection package” and a “ceramic coating protection package”; whether I wanted them or not. Anyone knows these are both useless items of no value which they try and gouge their customers for. I said no thanks. Three weeks later this vehicle was still unsold and I contacted another sales rep at Piazza. Unfortunately, Jodi intervened again and this time sent me a quote trying to gouge me a $4,019 upcharge for the same useless tire/rim/ceramic crap. She said this has already been applied to the vehicle, which was a complete lie. I contacted the sales manager who sent me a quote at MSRP. I asked about the useless tire/rim/ceramic crap and he told me, ‘it hasn’t been put on yet, so if you don’t want it, you don’t have to pay for it’. He confirmed that what Jodi had been telling was not true, that she was lying to me; they only sell that useless tire/rim/ceramic crap if the customer wants to pay for it. He then confirmed the car was out for a customer drive that afternoon. He later told me that day the car was sold that afternoon. I contacted Jodi to ask why she told me the useless tire/rim/ceramic crap had to be purchased. She lied to me again when she told me the car was sold 3 days prior; then she just hung up the phone on me, a customer. Piazza needs to fire this Jodi ASAP; she makes this dealership a farce and I recommend to look for another Genesis or Hyundai dealer in the Philly area. More

On March 30, 2021, from the very first online contact with Jodi, Internet Manager, to viewing the Genesis G90 Ultimate and GS80 with Kevin Penny, Brand Ambassador , to Sam Elters, GM to Kevin Bridgman, F with Jodi, Internet Manager, to viewing the Genesis G90 Ultimate and GS80 with Kevin Penny, Brand Ambassador , to Sam Elters, GM to Kevin Bridgman, Finance Manager, my whole buying experience was fun, stress free and very satisfying. I looked at the cars of choice, made my selection, got pricing, trade-in and financing terms “the Deal” without agita, anger, disappointment or breach of trust and drove home in my beautiful new 2021 G90 large luxury sedan with the 5.0 V8 and AWD, all on the same visit/same day. Please patronize this dealership and it’s team. They truly deserve it! It was a five-star experience from very first contact to driving the car home. I’d be very happy to speak with anyone in more detail about my experience...be it a potential customer, rating agency, Piazza senior management, or the Hyundai/Genesis family. I am a “tough customer” and was blown away.🤓 And while it was painful to say goodbye to my Cadillac Escalade ESV, I am thrilled with my choice and new Genesis G90. I had an Audi A8L from 2012 - 2016 and feel equally excited and proud in this beautiful luxury sedan. They deserve your business and anyone you know wanting the best car buying experience possible! In spite of the restrictions placed on businesses by the government, the staff at Piazza Hyundai were easy to deal with and very accommodating throughout the whole process. John McDonnell, our salesman, worked very hard to earn our business answering our questions and reviewing many different alternatives until we decided on the final choice of vehicles. All the while, Sam Ehlers, general manager, was there to assist John and us with details about the car and deal. Additionally, Sam stood behind the 3 day exchange program after we had driven the car home and were not completely satisfied with its performance - we were able to return it the next next for another car. This was the epitome of service and attention to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Sam and his team. I will buy another car from him in the future.
