I've purchased many new cars in San Diego County over the last 40 years. Some of the experiences were not too bad, but most were horrendous, anxiety-filled experiences. This time, the anxious feeling was back, and so I thought I would prep myself. I watched lots of YouTube videos on how to buy, but that really wasn't much help. I then found CarEdge's rating system for transparent dealers. I decided to go with AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad; they had an "A" rating. My initial contact was with Jake; he was straight forward with me from the get-go. I gave him my offer for the car they advertised, and it was accepted. The car was in transit for a few weeks, but I was in no hurry. Jake kept me up to speed on its progress, and it showed up a few days early. I made an appointment with Jake to come in and check the car out, and the whole experience couldn't have been better. They gave me pretty much what I was expecting on my trade-in, and I paid cash for the rest. All in all, I was very pleased. Sean, the Finance Mgr., was easy to work with and made things go smoothly. So folks, if you want one of the easiest car-buying experiences around, go see these guys. Give them a chance, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
