I just bought a new car from McGrath Honda of St. Charles, and honestly, the whole experience was amazing. Easily a 5-star vibe from start to finish. My salesperson, Sebastian Saez, was awesome. Super knowledgeable, super patient, and absolutely no pressure. He really listened to what I wanted and helped me find the right car without trying to upsell me or push anything out of my budget. The test drive was fun, and he explained every feature in a way that actually made sense. It felt more like getting help from a friend than dealing with a typical salesperson. Then there’s Ana Uribe, the Sales Manager. Ana was super professional, honest, and easy to work with. She made the whole numbers/negotiation part simple and transparent, and I felt comfortable with every step. You can tell she runs the place with a lot of integrity and really prioritizes the customer. If you’re shopping for a new car and want a smooth, stress-free experience, go to McGrath Honda of St. Charles and ask for Sebastian Saez and Ana Uribe. They’re seriously an amazing team. I visit the dealership a few times before I made a decision to pursue financing for a new vehicle. Sebastian my sales rep was a little newer and language barrier was present but I work with him. He brought over Aldo his fiance manager and everything seem to be okay until. I applied for financing. I have in email specifically asking Aldo and the financing team to only run my credit because of my business through only 2 lenders. Once I place the application the communication slowed down until it stopped and I kept getting credit alerts to the point that they ran my credit through 7 different banks. I called and email and text and asked for clarity as to what was going on but communication was still minimum. When I return to the dealership for clarity. Sebastian was still at the desk scrolling on his phone. He sat me at his desk to get Aldo and they returned 30 mins later. Aldo was very dismissive towards me. Accused me of not being forthcoming with him about my credit. Questions he never asked me so how could I be misleading. I stated that Sebastian mentioned someone approved the loan but needed a higher down payment, could he inform me of which bank and what the terms where. Aldo proceeded to let me know he didn't know because he spent his day working on deals for people he could close and he didn't have time. Aldo stated he would have to search through his email and check his voicemail to confirm. Well I am sitting here go ahead and do so. No he lead with it's month end and he had other deals to worry about. Aldo blatantly mishandled my credit profile. I received a letter from the bank my credit score was 697 so why wasn't I worthy of your time. I ended up at another dealership who told me my credit was strong and I was approved within 30 minutes they stuck with me until I found the car I needed. I was beyond disappointed that my credit was bruise the way it was and Aldo said I'm the guy that makes the deal happen but yet you did nothing for me. More
