I have been helping put dreams in driveways since 2003 and absolutely love what I do! I spent my childhood between Ridgecrest, California and Portland, Oregon and graduated from Sherman E. Burroughs High School in 1994. In 1996 I had the honor of joining the United States Army in 1996 as a Satellite Communications Systems Operator/Maintainer and served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division Signal Battalion with a short year and a half trip serving in South Korea after that. When my Military service ended I moved to Chico, California where I began my automotive journey working for Ed Wittmeier at the Wittmeier Auto Center. I met my beautiful wife, CarolAnn Dustin in Chico and decided in 2008 to move back to Portland to be closer to my 6 brothers and sisters. Outside of my career I enjoy spending time with my Wife, my pets and fishing with my family.

All the staff I dealt with at Gladstone Toyota were great to work with, friendly, low pressure, concerned that I was satisfied. I highly recommend them for a great car purchase deal. The buying experience with Gladstone Toyota and with Seth Dustin went very smoothly. We worked together via email and the phone to negotiate the deal for the 4Runner that met our specs, which wasn't easy co Dustin went very smoothly. Once the 4Runner was delivered, the Gladstone staff efficiently and effectively closed the transaction without any funny business which was appreciated. More

Jay Tuffli from Toyota of Gladstone was exceptional! Our initial contact was through the Costco Online program. Jay never seemed to get frustrated when we would ask for more information or to go look at the cars "again". Initially, we just went to Toyota of Gladstone to "look", but Jay was able to give us an extrememly fair trade-in value for our car. He also did a little leg-work to have the Rav4 that we wanted shipped to his dealership since he didn't have one in stock. Our car was delivered within just a few days. It was in pristine condition upon delivery. Although Jay was out of town on the day we picked it up, he had everything ready, including the Cargo Mat and touch-up paint that we requested. He had Seth Dustin go over the delivery worksheet with us and Seth was also exceptional with his patience with questions and his thoroughness with explaining the features of the vehicle. Both Jay and Seth made us feel that we were the only customers in the showroom. Although our home is only 1.5 miles away from a local Toyota dealership, we would be willing to make the 45 minute drive to the Gladstone Dealership again because of the truly exceptional customer service that we received from Jay and the rest of the crew at Gladstone Toyota. Jay's friendly, non-pressured approach to selling vehicles is highly respected and these days it seems hard to come by such wonderful customer service. We will be happy to recommend him to others so that they may have the same auto purchasing experience that we had. We love our new RAV4, too!!! More

Seth Dustin was outstanding in terms of knowledge of vehicle. We had originally set up an appointment with Seth for later in the day, but requested a change to an earlier time. That request was met and Seth had done his homework by the time we arrived. He already had a vehicle available that most nearly matched our needs when we arrived. This turned out to be the vehicle we purchased. After showing the first vehicle to us, he showed us others that were similar. The entire process was conducted in a very courteous manner with no undue pressure, which we abhor and probably would not have tolerated. After taking delivery of the vehicle and on the way home, we discovered a chip in the windshield. We were able to return the next day and the chip was repaired at no cost. The only occasion during which we were pressured was during the processing of the paperwork in the business office. The person with whom we worked was very courteous and pleasant to work with in every way. However, the sales pitch for the extended service contract was pretty intense. We had to say "no" over and over again to navigate this portion of the process. We got the distinct impression, however, that the person making the presentation was under extreme pressure from above to sell the contract. This was the only negative part of our purchase experience with Toyota of Gladstone. More

Although I went through USAA for a price quote, everyone there was very friendly and helpful. They were not pushy, like some other dealerships that we went through before this one. I worked with Seth initially through email, discussing what terms I was looking for and what kind of car I wanted. First, I found him extremely responsive -- no email "auto responses" common from other non-net savvy dealerships. It was a direct series of emails, quick and responsive to every question. He was professional, honest and to the point. No pressure, just information. We agreed on price. I came to the lot and met Seth. Again, not anything like the stereotypical salesman. Patient -- even encouraged a car with less options since he knew I was cost-sensitive though I stuck with the LE version (OK, maybe I do like the power seats after all). There was no up-selling (obviously the business manager was going to discuss extended warranties but with no pressure applied and I was offered chip protection, etc.). The deal we struck was exactly what we agreed to. We had to work on the trade-in but that was expected beforehand -- I had a 15 year old beater that had been in a side-door accident, so I knew we'd have to work on it. I got the mandatory "visit to the manager" about the trade-in (not the agreed to price of the auto), but Seth came out several times to apologize for the wait and explain what was going on and I was extremely satisfied with the final deal. I'm a business owner and no stranger to sales myself and I must say that my experience with Seth and others was very positive. I believe in honesty, being straight forward and keeping one's word in a business negotiation. And Seth came through with flying colors. I got the tour of the entire business and I must say they had the cleanest repair shop I've ever seen. Best experience I ever had buying a new car. More
