What a terrible experience this has been. What a hunk of garbage of a car for that kind of money. In year one, we still have 3 months to go and it has spent two months in the shop. The GPS is nearly useless as it stops working intermittently, leaving me grabbing at my phone while trying to drive and figure out where I need to go. DO NOT get a Volvo and run from Grubbs. They are equally miserable to deal with. More

In October 2023, fueled by optimism and buoyed by seemingly positive reviews, I embarked on a pilgrimage from New Jersey to Texas, all in pursuit of a vehicle at Grubbs Volvo Grapevine. Little did I know, I was about to step into a vortex of deception and incompetence. From the outset, it was clear that Grubbs Volvo Grapevine had no qualms about deviating from the agreed-upon price. What was supposed to be a $38,500 deal miraculously morphed into a demand for an additional $1,500 down payment – a sleight of hand that would make even the most seasoned con artist blush. But the financial treachery didn't end there. Oh no, my friends. Despite my explicit instructions to conduct credit checks sequentially, the geniuses at Grubbs Volvo Grapevine decided to perform not one, not two, but four simultaneous inquiries into my credit history. The result? Interest rates so sky-high they'd make a loan shark blush. And let's not even get started on the vehicle itself. Missing features promised? Check. Coercive tactics to force an unjust down payment? Double-check. It was like dealing with a den of vipers disguised as car salespeople. But wait, it gets better – or should I say worse?
