I went to Dick’s to get the supposed free “Engine Fire Recall” work done. After my van was in their shop for 6 hours they called me to say they were going to charge me to remove and re- install the afterm Recall” work done. After my van was in their shop for 6 hours they called me to say they were going to charge me to remove and re- install the aftermarket skid plate. This is about a 10 minute job (5 easily accessible bolts). This meant that my “free recall fix”, due to Dodges failure, was now going to cost me money. This and the fact that they wanted an extra 3% if I used a credit card to pay were signs that I was dealing with a “nickel and dime, low budget operation”. I chose Dick’s because they were the closest dealer to me and I was looking for a shop to do the maintenance and repair on my recently purchased Promaster camper van. I will be looking elsewhere. The guys were Super helpful, knowledgeable, low pressure to work with. I really enjoyed my experience. My only disappointment is I called back two days later and wanted to upgrade to the diesel and they to work with. I really enjoyed my experience. My only disappointment is I called back two days later and wanted to upgrade to the diesel and they said it wasn’t possible because the financing already went through and I was stuck with the vehicle. I have I have 392 miles on it now and still wish I could do it. More
