The salesperson that was assigned to me for the purchase volunteered to check 5 inspection elements (1) that the A/C was fully operational, (2) that there was no visible rust, (3) that the transmission and volunteered to check 5 inspection elements (1) that the A/C was fully operational, (2) that there was no visible rust, (3) that the transmission and engine worked properly in a drive around, the delivered vehicle could not pass a smog inspection, or a safety inspection. The vehicle was shipped to Tucson, AZ with no operable air conditioning after repeated assurances that it was operating properly with no problems. It was delivered with the "check engine light on" the exhaust pipes, muffler, and catalytic converter completely rusted out and making sounds with no exhaust system in place, and the engine has a tappet noise which will require a full inspection. The transmission was suppose to be a manual 5 speed as advertised but turned out to be a 4 speed automatic. Finally I haven't received a return call to discuss this situation and my options are few and far between. More
