Ok, so we located a mini-van on their website that had all the features we had been looking for. The 2006 Chrysler Town and Country had Stow and Go seating and a DVD entertainment system. When we went to all the features we had been looking for. The 2006 Chrysler Town and Country had Stow and Go seating and a DVD entertainment system. When we went to test drive the car I was very pleased with it. Mike N in sales even arranged it so that we could test drive the van for the entire weekend. We were very impressed at that point with the dealership.... that is where it ended! When I returned the van on Monday I pointed out that the radio did not work, the dvd player did not work, the check engine light kept popping on and off, the brakes squealed and there was no owners manual in the car. Mike assured us that they would take care of everything and that if we purchased the vehicle we would be 100% satisfied. After multiple meetings with the finance managers where our "contract" kept miraculously changing (interest rate almost doubled, downpayment wasn't correct, monthly payment jumped from $240 - $390) we were told that the only way we would be able to purchase the vehicle was is they didn't fix the dvd player. We then asked if we could take the van to a company that fixes/installs dvd players to see what it would cost us to replace the broken one. The company told us that it would be approximately $1500 to replace the broker dvd player and it would take under 1 week to complete the job. When I explained to Wallingford Toyota that we would purchase the van if they took $1500 off the price we were told that they couldn't do that because the price was at its lowest, however, they would be willing to work with us to fix the problems we discovered. They also worked again with Toyota financing to get our contract back where it started. We signed the papers on 2/4/11 and were happy that although there were some issues with the car, Toyota of Wallingford would fix them. As of today, 3/11/11 - the antenea was replaced so that the radio would work but that it is. I still do not have a working dvd player - am being told there is no eta for it to be fixed, the check engine light still turns on and off (they told me that it may be "air" in the gas tank but can't be sure), the brakes still squeak (told it was the material the brake pads were made of) and I have no owners manual (supposedly the service manager has ordered it but no one can confirm that). I repeatedly have called the dealer to be told that no one is available to talk with me, when I leave messages they are not returned. I finally spoke with Val the GM last week and explained the story and informed him that we purchased this vehicle specifically for the entertainment package since my family travels out of state each weekend. When he said he didn't have an eta for the fix, I asked if they might have a loaner we could use for that weekend so that we would benefit from a dvd player. Of course after "much searching" nothing was available (believe me I didn't really hold hope that there would be one). My only suggestion to anyone who is looking to buy a used car from these folks, DON'T - if I could turn the car back over to them and buy something else I would..... I plan on contacting Toyota's corporate office as well as the CT better business bureau and Attorney General.. this dealership provided false advertising and does not stand behind their sale! update 3/14/11: since writing the original comment Steve Zion Jr has contacted us and has worked through our issues with us. He did work with us to provide a loaner car while our car was being fixed. The first loaner was a 2004 Toyota Highlander that they had just brought in - the car had nearly no gas, reaked of cigarette smoke, windows were filthy, driver side door lock did not work. I was happy that they were "working on the car" but discouraged that the loaner they gave us was in such poor shape. This car had no DVD player and I had explained we bought our van because of the entertainment package since we travled so much and needed a loaner with an entertainment package at this point so we wouldn't be inconvienced on our travel. update 3/24/11: Since the last update, Steve Jr did swap out the 2004 Toyota Highlander with a 2010 fully loaded model that we would be able to use on our trip. This car was wonderful and I really appreciated that they finally listened and seemed to be ready to finally provide a good level of customer service. They did finally replace the broken DVD playr with a brand new one, replaced the headliner in the van with a new one and have also replaced the brake pads that were causing the squeek. We do appreciate the extra effort that they have gone to at this point, I only wish they could have been as responsive prior to us having to submit the dealer rater review and contacting Toyota directly. Our van is ready today and we will be picking up tonight. I only hope that the level of customer service that we received from Steve jr will continue once we take our van back. We picked the van up and unfortunately, again, there was no follow through.. something very minor but just one more disappointment in the chain of all the others. Steve jr had said on the phone that they washed the car and it would be waiting for us - the car was not washed, there were pieces of broken plastic and wires left in the car. The new dvd player did not have a manual, had to ask for one and then the topper was we started the car up and there was no gas - I am positive there was at least a 1/4 tank when I dropped it off but the light was on and it was on E. When I went in and talked to them about it no one would look at us, they "whispered" in their high desk and I could see them shaking their heads. I felt bad for Mike N the salesmen because he was standing there not knowing what to do or say. Basically I told them forget it and walked out... I believe our relationship is basically done with Toyota of Wallingford, we don't even want to go back for the free oil changes that we are supposed to get - not sure what would happen if we did..
