I contacted the dealership on Tuesday (Dec 26th) about the 2020 Tucson CPO I ended up purchasing. I was put into contact with Brennan, who let me know the vehicle was in the CPO inspection process and wo the 2020 Tucson CPO I ended up purchasing. I was put into contact with Brennan, who let me know the vehicle was in the CPO inspection process and would be ready Thursday or Friday of that week. I asked if he could send me some pictures of the vehicle and he asked the tech for some pictures. The only picture I received was of a scratch on the passenger door. I assumed he sent this as this was the only flaw on the car that had less than 8k miles. I did not hear back from him again and when I reached out to the dealership on Friday morning (Dec 29th), I was informed that he was out sick. At that point, Mark the sales manager put me in contact with Justin. I let Justin know that I would be at the dealership by noon as I had a 2 hour drive up from San Diego. I asked if I could get more pictures and he did send them when I was about 30 min out. Upon arriving, I was informed that the car was still in detail, but Justin did arrange to get the car so we could see it and test drive it. It was at this point that we noticed more scratches on the front and rear bumpers. Scratches that were way more noticeable than the one Brennan had sent us. It would have been nice to know about this damage before we drove up. We asked about a trade in and that took some time for our Honda Pilot to be looked at, but the Tucson was still in detail, so we had to wait anyway. Justin made the best of it and proceeded with gathering all of our information for the finance department and once we knew the trade in offer, less than half what CarMax offered so we declined to trade it in, we proceeded with negotiating a final price and purchase of the vehicle. Justin was pleasant to work with. At finance, I noticed that a CPO fee was added to the purchase price, which I did not agree to as the vehicle was listed as a CPO for a price, so I wasn't about to pay an additional fee. I don't know if this was added by the sales dept or the finance dept, but I was not happy to see it. It was removed and we proceeded with the sale. Overall it took about 3 hours to purchase the vehicle, most of that time was because it was not ready for delivery, though I had contacted them on Tuesday and said I would be there by Friday to purchase it. More
