The staff at Ed Martin Toyota were incredible. We came in helping my mother-in-law car shop looking at a Corolla Cross. She had totaled her previous car nearly 6 months earlier and had been totall We came in helping my mother-in-law car shop looking at a Corolla Cross. She had totaled her previous car nearly 6 months earlier and had been totally paralyzed by fear and anxiety of “making the wrong choice” ever since. During that time, she subsisted on borrowing a car from her other daughter, leaving a family of 5 with only a farm truck to get around. Knowing that she HAD to have a car, we agreed to help her find one in Indy. My mother-in-law is an incredibly anxious person and the entire process was creating an incredible amount of stress. Our salesperson, Thankful, was very patient and empathetic toward the MiL and didn’t apply a ton of pressure, instead taking the time to explain the car, and the process very thoroughly. My mother-in-law is a bit eccentric and insisted on reading every single document she signed fully from the beginning to end, including the warranty paperwork which was only available to review digitally. Thankful took the time to read every line item out loud to her. (While a tiny part of me died inside.) After deciding on the purchase my MiL tried to back out several times. Never once did the staff at Ed Martin get impatient or give up on getting her the car that they, and my wife and I, knew was a great deal. When we got back to the finance office (after the dealership had closed at this point) We encountered yet another hero of patience in Chris, one of the finance managers. He waited patiently as my MiL once again read EVERY. FLIPPING. THING line for line and calmly explained things she didn’t understand. We finally finished sometime after 9:00pm and I left (I was beyond done with the in-law nonsense). However, Thankful stayed with my wife and mother-in-law for nearly a half an hour explaining the features of the car and making sure she was comfortable. I am so thankful to the staff at Ed Martin for being so patient and helping our family bring a 6-month long journey of getting my anxiety ridden MiL into a car. I would not hesitate for one second to recommend Thankful, and Ed Martin Toyota, to a friend. More
