Just based on his pleasant manner, we felt something was right, and the trip would be worthwhile. Well the car was just what we`d been looking for, we were treated like old friends by Tim and the staff, and the deal was made. They were efficient, and made the buying experience great fun. There have been times I`d rather have a root canal, than purchase a vehicle, but these folks made this so painless we`ll definitely pass the word to make a trip to Barkau&Sons in Cedarville Il. Barkau & Sons (which was a 65mile drive from my house) I was very pleased with the level of customer service. There were no games, no bait and switch or pressure tactics. I simply looked over the vehicle, went for a test drive and received a very attractive price without round after round of bartering. How refreshing to know that there are still dealerships that just operate in a courteous, honest and earnest fashion. They even made arrangements to get my car to my house! I'll be recommending J.H. I was in a car accident on January 24, 2014 and my car was totaled. My husband and I needed a car that would get me back and forth to Beloit twice a week and up to whitewater once to move our daughter bac was totaled. I contacted Tim via internet and he found us a van in our price range. We had gone to sawicki motors 2 times to no avail. Even we told them what our price range was, they still would not come down. Tim gave us a little discount on the van because of the amount of rust it had on it, and we walk off with the van that day. We were going to wait until our mechanic could look at, but my husband decided we could take it home for the price they offered us. We told our church about J.H Barkau and they are looking for a shuttle bus for our elderly members. We are sure that we will make them are car dealership. We will also tell our friends about them. We also went to Tomolains in Freeport and they would not come down on their prices either for us. Out the 3 J.H Barkau & Sons was the best. More

I found the Cadillac on Craig's list. I called Tim for information. After listening to the report on the car and what had been done to it, I decided to take a look. He had the car ready, warmed up and waiting for my wife and me to take it for a test drive. We liked the car and wanted to see what kind of deal he would give us. We were pleased with the first offer of trade. I gave him the cash offer and drove it home. We are waiting for a manual which Tim said he would get for us as well as some decals. Through out all of my conversations with Tim he has been extremely helpful. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking to buy a vehicle from J.H. Barkau. More
