After the inspection, they initially told me that several parts like air filters and other components needed to be replaced, and they gave me an estimate of around $4,000–$5,000. Then, after some time, they changed their statement and told me that the engine itself was completely damaged and needed to be replaced. After that, I went to the showroom, where they again insisted that the engine was damaged and needed replacement. They then offered me $7,000 for my car as a trade-in and strongly pushed me to buy another electric car. I felt like they were trying to manipulate and pressure me a lot. A showroom is supposed to provide good service to customers, not exaggerate or create problems that may not even exist just to take advantage of them. This kind of behavior is very wrong and damages BMW’s reputation. Employees who act like this for their own small benefit will never grow in the long run. They were trying to manipulate me into selling my car and buying another one, which I strongly object to. I called and made an appointment for an oil change with a service advisor. The service advisor went home early and no one contacted me to let me know. Also, at the time of my call, I asked about having my oi service advisor. The service advisor went home early and no one contacted me to let me know. Also, at the time of my call, I asked about having my oil change done because I was about 6,000 miles out of the required 10,000 mile mark for the oil change. I was told that the service department would let me know. When I arrived at the dealership, I sat in my car for about 2 minutes waiting for someone to come out. When the older gentleman came out and did whatever he needed to do, I walked in only to find out that I was too early and could not have my oil change done unless I was willing to pay for it out of pocket. I have a scheduled maintenance, the vehicle check service,that is apparently required because the last time I had an oil change done the technician made note on the car so the reminder is on and will not be taken off until that service is done. More
