Leased Vehicle Damage happened at Dealership stockyard I leased a Nissan Rogue 2016 three years back with Continental Nissan Countryside IL. The lease was for 36 Months. Before the lease expires, I got an I leased a Nissan Rogue 2016 three years back with Continental Nissan Countryside IL. The lease was for 36 Months. Before the lease expires, I got an email from Bob Giovannoni General Sales Manager that I could lease another vehicle and they will absorb the balance 6 months lease payment. I negotiated the lease amount etc and they told me that I do not have to worry about any additional payment. I have been leasing vehicles for more than 20 years so I am aware of all the lease end obligations such as excess mileage and any repair for damages. The Nissan Rogue 2016 returned by me is fairly clean and no obvious damage. I inspected it thoroughly. I asked the sales person many times make sure that everything is ok and confirmed that I will not be charged any additional charges for any damages or repair. The dealer should have mentioned to me that the vehicle should be inspected by a certified inspector and xxxxx any damage if any, and then only they can assure me that there will not be any charges for any hidden damages or repair. If they would have told me, then I would have waited for the inspection and then I would have signed up for the new lease after all damages assessment. Now the Nissan Finance and the Continental Nissan both claim that I am responsible for the repair charge for Front Bumper dent (no paint damage). The fact is that when I left the vehicle, there was no dent or damage in the front bumper. The dealer is not taking any responsibility for the dame that happened after I left the vehicle with them. This deal happened at the year-end (December 28th, 2018) they wanted to show their sales quota to Nissan and now they are forcing me to pay ($426.98) for the damage that happened to the vehicle at the dealership stockyard. This is very bad and unfair by Continental Nissan and they are not taking their responsibility I would like to know if anyone had a similar experience with this dealer or any other dealer. The lessee should be very careful when they return the vehicle. More
