WOW I just love my RAV4 which is 100% safe and undamaged according to Service Director Steven Reese. I’m not sure how he came to the conclusion that my suspension was not intermittently shaking “violently” according to Service Director Steven Reese. I’m not sure how he came to the conclusion that my suspension was not intermittently shaking “violently” between 65-75 MPH when I had a large sign in my car forbidding him from driving it due to metal fatigue, which is why it was just flatbedded 40 miles to 802, or without him driving on a road that comes close to 65 according to my GPS. But I know you professionals have your secrets! I’ll still have to disagree that road tests are required, since no other Toyota agrees. I’m a bit confused how Steve ruled out suspension resonance as a potential cause when he asked me to explain what it was AFTER my inspection, even though I had told him I was there due to suspension resonance damage, and then he told me that it was “way over his head” when I explained it (road bumps are making the car bounce at 10x speed). But I'm not a service manager, so who knows? STEVE REESE DOES, and he says this car is in EXCELLENT shape for a 2015 Toyota. Although every other Toyota dealership disagrees with 802 again, and says that the car I bought 10 months prior that Toyota is still selling for $15k is only worth $1-4k, and therefore legally totaled by my state laws. It’s incredibly honorable of Toyota to give Steve a chance working on suspensions even though he has no knowledge about why suspensions are designed the way they are, and therefore doesn’t understand how they work. I’m sure nothing bad could come from that! Unfortunately if he would have watched that video of my vehicle oscillating wildly in front of a large oncoming truck (the video he understandably refused to watch), he would have seen the definition of suspension resonance at the end. I do wish that Steve could've found a reason that all 12 tires I had on the car within 51 days were wobbling and getting worn down. But at least he was able to diagnose my car as having wobbly tires, and also generously offered to help me increase those numbers to 16 wobbly tires in 85 days. I don’t necessarily agree that the issue was my $1,100 “economy” Wrangler Steadfast tires with 379 miles on them, since Goodyear, as well as Toyota employees from multiple dealerships, including 802’s General Sales Manager, says that they’re premium tires! So I’ll have to disagree with 802 that replacing them with the same exact premium tires would help align drivability with my premium ride expectations. I didn’t know that not wanting your suspension to oscillate 10 times per second was a premium feature. Hopefully this comes standard in the next model! Thanks Steve for putting my mind at ease by certifying that my vehicle was safe and in great condition for its age on multiple occasions. I was convinced resonance was intermittently violently shaking my car, making it hard to stay on the road, destroying 12 tires and my suspension, and filling me with existential dread and nausea every time I drive. But it turns out it was just my 3rd set of premium-economy tires since April 30th wibbly wobbling down the road, as they do, and hysterics! As I mentioned, I’m not a mechanic, so this has all been very hard for me to comprehend. Luckily VT is a one-party consent state, so I was able to secretly record our conversation about how my car is completely undamaged and definitely not shaking so I could go over it later with a MAN to help explain it to me. I’d also like to formally apologize that this whole situation was so stressful for your employee. I know that being around someone you just endangered can be scary! I appreciate you keeping sales discussions open “at your discretion”, however I just bought a 2025 Forester. More
One of my least favorite things in life is getting a new car. Since I lease it’s every 3 years. 802 Toyota changed all of that. I got in contact with George and Sam about a new car to be able to put my nissan (2010 with 225k currently) into semi retirement as i am a hospice caretaker and Pac and need to drive all over the 802 to provide care to people i needed something reliable. They worked hard to get us into a brand new 2020 Camry with our credit and within budget They were amazing. They listened and helped work with us. Gonna be back in the future for sure More
Took my truck in for frame replacement per Toyota recalls, we got our truck back 1 week later, it now has multiple problems including something wrong in the drive train and the brakes along with mult recalls, we got our truck back 1 week later, it now has multiple problems including something wrong in the drive train and the brakes along with multiple other problems that were not there before the frame replacement. Even their mechanic noticed the drivetrain vibration and noted it, the service department wanted us to pay them to diagnose the problem that they are responsible for. Lucky for us the small used car dealership (AYERS AUTO)that we bought it from is going thru and fixing our truck the correct way at no charge to us, these repairs should of been detected and fixed by 802 Toyota. I personally will never do any business with 802 Toyota nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. I will never trust 802 Toyota dealership ever again. The service people are great and very friendly, Tony Anjos is great and I realize it's not his fault that this dealership does business this way. More
Second lease was just as easy as the first. Had been talking with Phillip for months on what I was looking for. He checked in every month to see where we stood on good deals. He contacted me on Monday the 28th and by Tuesday the 29th I had my new 2020 Toyota Highlander. We will only go to Phillip. If I could give Phillip a million stars I would. 5 just doesn't seem fair. Our sales person Chris was committed and caring, he stood outside with me in -10° weather, after closing time, to ensure that we got the right used vehicle. Cat undid a signed deal, at my request and because of “MY” error, to get us the right vehicle. They got me the best rate on financing I could find. Sam and Justin took time to get all the paperwork right and answered all the questions I had with patience. The service department completed service on a recall for the original vehicle we had planned on purchasing when the recall came through at the last minute. They took a bad situation and an unfair customer and made it right through teamwork and compassion. These are good people and they have won me over. I plan on purchasing my next vehicle from them. I hope Chris can forgive me for my unfair expectations. He’s a salesman with a heart of gold and a warm, caring human being. I was the customer from xxxx and they did right by me even though they didn’t need to. More

He asked what I was looking for and made it all work out, never once trying to pressure me into another vehicle. Because of Phillip and his hard work, I was able to drive off the lot in a brand new Toyota Tacoma, a safe reliable vehicle for me and my kids.
