I drove my 2017 Limited Edition 4Runner to the dealership simply to check out the 2020 Limited Edition 4Runners, not thinking there was much difference between the 3 model years. Eric Glenn and Tony Rebich c simply to check out the 2020 Limited Edition 4Runners, not thinking there was much difference between the 3 model years. Eric Glenn and Tony Rebich changed my mind after giving me a thorough review of the new safety features and other significant changes. They also had my 2017 inspected and, as might be expected, we started talking. One thing I hate about buying a new car is the song and dance you usually get where the sales person has to keep checking with the manager and all the back and forth phoniness that goes on. I let Tony and Glenn know I had no time for playing games but I would give them a chance to come back to me with a one time, all inclusive dollar amount I'd have to pay with my trade-in to walk away with a new 2020. Long story short, they huddled and eventually came back to me with a more than fair bottom line offer that I accepted on the spot. No screwing around, straight to business and always professional, I'd recommend that two person tag team to anyone looking for a fair deal on a new Toyota. More

A true "experience" at this dealership. Two weeks ago, I went to the dealership to look at Rav4s. I had been scouring the internet for several days on this model and watched many auto deal Two weeks ago, I went to the dealership to look at Rav4s. I had been scouring the internet for several days on this model and watched many auto dealer insider videos on how to find out what these rides were really worth as well as how to negotiate a fair car deal. There were 3 that I was interested in and met with Tony Rebich and Eric Glenn to take a test drive. When asked, Toney gave me the car fax on all 3 without any hesitation. Test drive was good, vehicle was good. Price was about $1500 more than I'd hoped but I was hoping to negotiate. Met with Mr. Glenn again after the test drive. He showed very little interest in my offer and claimed they were already priced to sell. Since there seemed to be no apparent room to go lower, I test drove a lesser model (LE). When I offered what I thought to be a reasonable starting price on that one he said, "I don't think you understand how car buying works." I had offered $831 less than the asking price with my first bid. He indicated that there was almost no room to meet my number on that car either. I thanked Mr. Glenn and Mr. Rebich and left. That evening I watched a video that mentioned it had become a dealer's market due to inventory and demand. Sure enough, within an hour of watching that video I searched the vehicles I was looking at that day and they went up in price by approx. $500 due to market fluctuation. Just my luck eh? 9:20pm that night I get a phone call. It was Mark Krochmal calling to thank me for coming into the dealership that day. He said that he regretted that we could not come to a deal and hoped that I would consider Toyota of Brookfield again in the future. I thanked him for his call. Five minutes after that another rep. from the dealership called. The young lady on the phone who's name I cannot remember, asked if I'd be interested in coming back the next day to further discuss the vehicles and price and perhaps, we could make a deal. I thanked her and agreed to come back the next day. Showed up at noon then next day and was met by Luis Ferrer. Mr. Ferrer tried to help me find out who had called the night before (young lady) but since I didn't remember her name, he couldn't do much in that regard. He asked about what I had been there the day before and I told him the basics. I gave him the stock number for the cars that I had been looking at and he said he would assist me. We got to numbers and I went up $500 in my initial offer. He came back after talking to "management" and said no. They were not going to move from the current numbers. He did his best to explain about the previous evening's price increase and the current market. I had with me all my paperwork from the previous days attempt and asked if they would at least honor the price quoted on the internet the day before on the lesser of the two vehicles. He came back again with an no. He talked with me some more and then took one last offer on yet the third vehicle I'd been interested in that I was given an "incentive to come in price on". I had it printed out with me and it said on the paperwork that the price was good until the very day I was there trying to negotiate a purchase. He actually took my paperwork with him this time and came back with a "No, they won't." No one from the management team came out to talk or attempt to negotiate with me during that wasted visit and I left the dealership feeling insulted and ignored. Mr. Ferrer on the other hand, was a gentleman and I thank him for his time and effort. So where does that leave me? Out on time, gas (45 minutes each way) and without a vehicle that I was prepared to buy that day. The dealership led me to believe that they wanted to “deal”. They did not and they wouldn’t even honor their own previous price that was still in effect. Now, in retrospect I’ve relearned a good lesson and I will use that as I go forward in the car buying experience. Thanks for the lesson Toyota of Brookfield. More
