My experience with Sun Toyota was the most stressful car-buying experience I’ve ever had, and I will not be returning. I came in for an oil change and was quickly pushed into trading my 2018 4Runner car-buying experience I’ve ever had, and I will not be returning. I came in for an oil change and was quickly pushed into trading my 2018 4Runner for a 2022. The process felt rushed from the start, and the numbers presented during the deal changed by the time I signed. Features were implied to be included when they weren’t, and I was not given a clear breakdown of the deal before signing. The finance manager, Zach, was extremely difficult to work with—unresponsive, dismissive, and nearly impossible to reach. I was rushed through signing paperwork by a trainee with no explanation and left the dealership without copies of anything I signed. I was told I could return the next day to exchange the vehicle if I wasn’t happy—this turned out to be untrue. When I went back, they refused and instead suggested trading it in at a $10,000 loss just two days later. Within two weeks, I discovered issues with the tires and was later told the vehicle may need struts replaced—only to receive conflicting information from their own service team. The only positive part of this experience was Danny in service, who tried to make things right. It has now been over a month of calls and visits just to get answers and confirmation that my warranties were canceled. Overall, I felt misled, pressured, and taken advantage of. I strongly recommend being extremely cautious here—review every number carefully and do not let them rush you. If possible, go elsewhere. More
