Charlie was knowledgeable and helpful, He was patient with the process. Robert was very informal and also helpful. I took my truck in for service due to a miss/jolt when accelerating and there was no check engine light on. I left it there for 3 days before they notified me that couldn't find any issues. They notated accelerating and there was no check engine light on. I left it there for 3 days before they notified me that couldn't find any issues. They notated on the receipt that they felt the miss/jolt and recommended a list of services starting with a transmission flush and an ECM flash. I agreed and $400.00 dollars later, the services were done. However, the problem wasn’t fixed and the jolt still occurred. Instead of continuing to throw money at the issue, I decided use an OBD II scanner and review live data while driving. I hooked up the scanner and while driving the miss/jolt happened. I read all the different categories on the scanner and got to the misfire data. It stated I had a misfire in cylinder 3. I pulled the plug in cylinder 3 and it was in bad shape. So I pulled all the plugs and they were all in bad shape. I changed the plugs and now the truck runs smooth as silk. I am wondering why the services department never used a scan tool with live data reading or thought to pull and check a plug with the symptoms I was experiencing. They notated they felt a miss. I don’t feel like they spent any time looking for the issue. For the money spent, I expect more. More

FRAUDI bought a 2017 Subaru Forester. It has a sticker FRAUD I bought a 2017 Subaru Forester. It has a sticker that says Battery in the green. To the normal, sensible person that would mean the battery is good. 2 weeks later the battery died. Took it to be tested before going back to Bill Penny and was informed there was no way they didn’t know the battery was bad. Went back to Bill Penny and was informed I bought as is, plus got $2000 off so what if the battery was bad. Now have to take somewhere to a mechanic because it is obvious that there maybe current issues that weren’t disclosed. As Not disclosing known issues is FRAUD!!! I am not the first they have defrauded DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.. More

PSA: DO NOT USE Bill Penney Toyota's Service department. We have been buying Toyota's from Bill Penney for 15+ years and getting our vehicles serviced throughout the service department. We have noticed the We have been buying Toyota's from Bill Penney for 15+ years and getting our vehicles serviced throughout the service department. We have noticed the last few times things seemed off. At least TWICE now they have failed to change the oil when they clearly documented that they changed it. The last time my husband called them out on it and they made it right, but a routine oil change, tire rotation, and recall fix took almost 4 hours.... RIDICULOUS!!! Let's not mention the fact that he is currently in the garage ROTATING the tires that they said they rotated and CLEARLY did NOT rotate. I would be more pissed off had we been paying for these, but we are still under the Penney Perks. So, be forewarned that you are probably paying for things they aren't doing and running the risk of ruining your car. Penney Perks or not, we will likely be taking our vehicles to Tire Discounters from here on out because they have always done a great job and in a very timely manner. We will be contacting the corporate office as this is UNACCEPTABLE business practices!!!!! More

BILL PENNEY SOLD US A LEMON BILL PENNEY TOYOTA OF HUNTSVILLE SOLD MY WIFE AND I A LEMON. My wife and I purchased a new 2018 Toyota 4Runner off of Bill Penney's lot Oct 2018 with BILL PENNEY TOYOTA OF HUNTSVILLE SOLD MY WIFE AND I A LEMON. My wife and I purchased a new 2018 Toyota 4Runner off of Bill Penney's lot Oct 2018 with automatic running boards. Shortly after our purchase we started noticing that the automatic running boards would deploy and/or retract randomly. We took it into Bill Penney numerous times to fix and they finally replaced the ECU. After "the fix" the running boards were still having issues with randomly deploying and/or retracting. We went to Bill Penney for them to replace our vehicle with another one with static running boards because it was not only a huge safety issue for us, but they also sold us a lemon. After doing extensive research on the Internet we found out that 2012-2017 Toyota 4Runners with automatic running boards had issues with randomly deploying and retracting. In fact it was so bad Toyota issued a Technical Service Bulletin or T.S.B. to remove and replace the ECU unit. Bill Penney sold us a lemon and would not do anything to fairly resolve this issue even though it is a huge safety issue to us. We are going to the Alabama Attorney General and present our case concerning the Alabama Lemon law. If this review had an option for zero stars we would pick that one instead of the one star. Please beware of Bill Penney Toyota, the New Car Manager stated to us during our visit to try and replace with another 4Runner and I quote "We don't build the car". This is like saying that Toyota builds the cars and Bill Penney sells them, but Bill Penney does not have any accountability after the sell. Stay away from Bill Penney!! More

So my service budget is been always about the same every where I go. Well, that wasn’t the case on Bill Penney Toyota... They just charged me $70 for a regularly oil change service. And I have to say that I’m very disappointed with their price and customer service. The first time I took my car there somebody came out of nowhere promoting a big discount on my oil change and air filter replacement. Honestly, I didn’t care about any discount because I wasn’t expecting to pay more than $50 on that, but I thought it’s a first time maybe it’s not that bad. This time they just told me that they changed their prices on January 2018 and that’s why there was a difference on the previous price. Customers should know about new prices in advance or at the time of the appointment. Too expensive for me! I don’t like this type of surprises... Lost a customer. More

Excellent buying experience I was referred to Bill Penney Toyota by a friend. I live in Wisconsin & thought it would be a long shot that I would actually get the best deal from a I was referred to Bill Penney Toyota by a friend. I live in Wisconsin & thought it would be a long shot that I would actually get the best deal from a dealership in AL....but it happened! After checking around in the WI area it was BPT that gave me the cheapest price & the best customer service. I initially talked to Zach & then worked with Yee. Both guys were top notch to do business with. My 4Runner was delivered to me in Door County, WI just before Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend working with this crew! More
