The precise car I was looking for turned up at a Lexus dealership in Cleveland Ohio, I contacted them Saturday night, long after the dealership closed. At 9 am Monday morning, Allison Smith, Metro Lexus’ online sales coordinator went exceeded my expectations when she not only confirmed the car was available, but sent me a three minute video, showing me each and every flaw. She asked if I had questions, and I did, asking for the date codes on the tires, as well as the CARFAX. It turned out the tires were six years old, I mentioned I’d replace them with Michelin Pilot Sport all seasons, so not to worry about them. She wrote back that Metro had gone ahead and replaced them with the exact tires I preferred! While the CARFAX was great, but I was worried that being a car from northern Ohio, rust might be an issue. Allison got the car onto a lift and sent me a dozen pictures of the underside (it was fine.) Happy with the condition of the car, Allison took my deposit and volunteered that Metro would be happy to pick me up at the airport on Friday afternoon, having worked out when the car would finish the refurbishment at the dealer. True to her word, Metro had a driver pick me and my wife up and carry us the approximate five minutes to the dealership. The finance manager had all the paperwork ready. It honestly took my insurance carrier longer to add the new car than I was in signing paperwork. Allison got us out the door in under forty-five minutes, start to finish. Everyone from the young man who picked me and my wife up at the airport, to the finance manager were exceptionally friendly and polite. In every way we were made to feel like extremely valued customers, nobody tried to upsell me or pressure me at any time. I’d understand this if I were picking up a brand new $100,000 Lexus LC500, but no, I was picking up a fifteen year old car for under $20,000. You certainly couldn’t tell by the enthusiasm of the staff. I’ve bought and sold more than 60 cars in my life (I have automotive attention deficit disorder) and this was the easiest, and by far the most pleasant buying experience I’ve had. So if you’re searching for your dream car, and your lucky enough to have it show up for sale at Metro Lexus, don’t hesitate to give them a call. I’m glad I did. More
