Seller's Comments

Rugged, versatile, and loaded, this 1997 Toyota 4Runner takes what you love about one of Toyota's most robust SUVs and enhances its go-anywhere ability. Plus, with luxuries like an A/C interior, this doesn't need to leave the pavement to feel useful.

This has a correct-style Baja Pre Runner setup with a taller off-road stance, skid plates underneath, BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, and rear-wheel drive. It's also hard to miss the tubular Baja-style bumper with a push bar, spotlights, and a winch. But here's also some beauty within the brawn. The American Eagle Alloy wheels are also an upgrade in style. And the green paint has a nice metallic glow to draw attention to the clean body panels. So it's a rugged SUV ready for action, but it's the exact opposite of those over-the-top builds with no practical use or attraction.

More of this practical side is seen inside. This is the era where the 4Runner was becoming more of a premium offering, and so this has plenty of the best features inside. It includes power windows (including the rear hatch), power locks, dual airbags, the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, cruise control, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And the driver's seat feels like a command position with high-back bucket seats, a tilt steering column, and large/clean gauges. It has the kind of use you'd expect from the mileage. The value price can leave room in your budget if you want to update anything, but we already see an appeal in a well-opted SUV made to get real work done. The rear cargo area now has a bare metal floor to give you the appeal of a truck bed, and there's also a trailer hitch on the rear if you need to bring even more with you.

Under the hood is the 2.7-liter four-cylinder motor. These RZ-series engines were specifically designed for truck use and have a terrific reputation for robustness. So it's the kind of fuel-injected powerhouse known to uphold the feeling of longevity that makes you want a Toyota. And it's easy to enjoy on or off-road thanks to power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

Complete with the owner's manual. This 4Runner has been upgraded, so it's more than just a poser. But that doesn't mean it won't fit into your everyday life. So when you can have value, distinction, and versatility, you know it's a great deal. Call now!
