Tyler Jones is a rookie but a natural:) did awesome! Tyler Jones was very helpful, accommodating, and determined. On my first visit a really nice guy took me to a model I was looking at. It was behind a snow berm and in dress shoes, he starts kicking the snow clear( whatever it takes attitude) to move the car out for me. I find out later that it was Randy Price- then he went and found Tyler and we looked at the vehicle that I was actually there to look at. of course it was buried 3 cars deep. Tyler was all over it- whatever it takes "no problem". we take it for a drive and it turns out it was Tyler's first test drive in the sales world. I left and kept doing some research and the next Saturday I happened to go on line to spot check pricing for three dif. lots, 8 vehicles, same model, similar colors etc. the price dropped on 2 web sites so I called Tyler. he check and it was still there and the dashboard special price matched what I saw. I told him I would come chat with him further. Done deal- as we were evaluating my car for a trade value on the lot- a guy comes out of nowhere, no introduction,he just starts telling Tyler the price is wrong and he cant sell it for that. I tried to ask a couple question to clarify what was going on. no apologies, "just it's wrong and I am into for 17,500 and no one would sell it for less" not according to my homework and research, I said. there were a couple that were listed this week for 15,600 and 16,000 and they sold. he kept chirping pretty rudely - " I told you three times I am into for 17,500" I said that is disappointing and the price on this today is marked all over the place for 13,999. he stomped away and I said who was that anyway- he said he is the sales manager Rob-- wow! I have been in sales for 26 years and I cant remember ever seeing anything so bizarre and awkward to treat a customer and most importantly one of your own associates that way. Tyler handled it better than I would my first week. he suggested I get in my car and drive away right now and he would call me later-(brilliant reaction). he called me about 30 min later and said there was a conversation with the general manager and he would honor the listed price, come on back and lets finish your car deal! Sales and Customer Service are all about your reputation - It is Good or it is Bad. In this situation, I have already told at least twenty people how Good of a job Tyler Jones did and how Randy Price stepped up and did the right thing. As I spent time in your main lobby and observed your culture and environment I could tell that my situation wasn't normal and you have a great sales team on the floor taking care of customers.
