Criswell Maserati - Alfa Romeo

We came in today with my father to test drive a new Alfa Romeo Giulia, since he is on the market for a new car. The manager James, who started working with us, asked my father for his drivers license. I gave him mine too, because I expected to try out the car also. I occasionally drive my fathers car, so I wanted to give the Alfa Romeo, and see how it would be for a daily. Don't get me wrong, it was not the 80k version, or anything fancy....but just a basic Giulia AWD (~45k). I would imagine it would sell for 39,000-40,000 in the end with the discount. When the manager saw my drivers license, he said that "I am not allowed to drive since I am 19", and that my dad has to drive, even though I have a full drivers license, and my father was right next to me. I have so far test driven more expensive vehicles than this, which had more power than the test drive vehicle. Company policy? That's was sort of expected (due to last experience), since this is the way Criswell treats their customers. A couple of months ago, I wanted to try a used Chrysler 300 @ gaithersburg chrsyler Criswell. When I asked the manager If I could try it, he said "no buddy", and sarcastically laughed at me. Then he waved "go away". The main reason for that was because I was "not 21". Again, xxxxxxxx in my opinion. Every other dealer let me drive, even when I had a permit, and was looking for my first car. These where BMW, Audi, Nissan, all in the 27,000-35,000 range. Is it normal in other dealerships? xxxx no! Every other dealer we have been to allowed me to try the car, even if it was a $60,000 vehicle, or an $18,000 car. We were not on the mood to argue. Honestly, I wanted to sit up front for the test drive (forget of even driving the car), but the manager insisted that I sit in the back seat, where I could not even try out the features and entertainment system of the vehicle. The test drive itself was mostly fine, the manager showed some features, and that was mostly it. Overall, don't go to Criswell, because they treat you like xxxx, especially if you are not 21. Criswell, just a question for you. So at 18, I can go to war, kill people, serve my country, get married, go to college, get a job....but I cannot test drive a car? Thank you for your amazing treatment, and age discrimination! If we ever buy an Alfa Romeo or any other car that you sell....it will not be from you. More

Car buying really can be enjoyable.. Our experience began weeks prior to purchase as we wanted to see the new Alfa Romeo Giulia. At our initial visit we fortunately met our sales specialist, Karifa Mara. He spent time making us comfortable and showing us Giulias. Because the cars were just being introduced, there were not yet a lot of choices in the configuration we wanted. Karifa told us he would contact us when a car was coming that he thought we would like. He did exactly as he said and kept us well informed regarding a car that was arriving and that met our needs. We returned to the dealership to see the car. It was as described and we purchased the Giulia the same day and drove away. The entire process was relaxed and enjoyable. Karifa Mara is a consumate sales specialist. He paid attention to what we wanted and answered our many questions. He has a cordial professional demeanor. On one occasion he did not know an answer, admitted it, and found the answer for us. We developed great confidence in Karifa Mara. We doubt we would have found and purchased the Giulia if it had not been for him. He introduced us to his managers and the service director. Everyone was very cordial. It certainly appeared they enjoyed what they were doing and worked very well together. We received a tour of the service area and even the mechanics said hello and were very friendly. We were very impressed by the entire dealership operation. We feel fortunate to have had such a nice dealership experience and we really like the Giulia. We hope to deal with Karifa Mara again in the future. More

In fact, we had two other car appointments scheduled later that day. However, our experience was simply so overwhelmingly awesome, we left with the car of our dreams the same day. We'd been in the market for about a month and visited many dealerships but as soon as we were greeted by our salesman, Karifa, we knew things would be different. Hands down the best car buying experience from the start to finish -- we absolutely felt like VIPs the entire time even though we weren't buying the most expensive car on the lot. Highly recommended and can't wait to tell others about this experience. More

While in the market for a new car, I researched the area Maserati dealerships and Criswell had a great inventory and their online sales were enticing. The experience provided by Alberto was exceptional as was that of Omar, the GM and Robert (sales manager I believe). They truly made me feel welcome and never made me feel like I was being sold to. They listened to my "likes" and gave me options. Imagine that, a salesman that actually listened!! I had to leave early on my initial visit but before I left I changed my mind from a car on the lot to one in the showroom I had fallen in love with. When returning the next day, it was outside, fully detailed and even had my home address programmed into the GPS ready for me to drive it away. Needless to say I did and will do so again at my next decision point. They are phenomenal and I highly recommend them. Oh yea, Alberto came in on a Friday to meet me the first time and it was his day off !! Wow !!!!! More
