service dept are total rip-offs - if i could give zero stars i would. i'm a 65yr old single female who would much rather support local business owners though the only reason i went there in the first pla stars i would. i'm a 65yr old single female who would much rather support local business owners though the only reason i went there in the first place was recalls from ford and you had to bring your car to a dealership. being new to the area i went to atchinson - within a week after having what was supposed to be the problem fixed - i was pulled over by the police for my lights not working - what??? i told the officer i just had it in for service at the dealership, he saw the light switch was on - as i was close to home, said to turn on my emergencies n get home safe. i returned to atchinson so they could fix it - they acted like they were doing me a "favor" by not charging me for work that should have been dealt with the first time around. within a couple weeks i noticed i was having trouble with the gear shift - the clutch and transmission were working just fine - a friend of mine said it was most likely the linkage, not a big fix - so i returned to atchinson, asking them to check the gear shift linkage, dropped off the vehicle, service said they would get back to me that day with an estimate... i waited until an hour before closing as i hadn't heard a thing from them. when i spoke with the service dept rep. he said i needed a whole new clutch n transmission - over $4000. !!! i said no way, asked if they did the linkage repair i asked them to do, they said yes, and charged me $140.00 'diagnostic fee' - but that was an outright lie as the same problem persisted as soon as i got it back. when i got in the car to leave the dealership, i noticed on the front passenger floor was the cover for the gear shift linkage !!! seriously ??? i picked it up, went back into the service dept, held it up and asked what is this and why is it on the front passenger floor...??? they said they would try to find someone to put it back on but as it was after 5pm, all the service techs were gone so they got some kid to slide under the car and pop it on - to top it off, some guy from the sales dept. then told me they did not want me to return to atchinson as they didn't like my attitude. hahahah - no kidding... everytime i took my car in there for service, paid big bucks, invariably within a week or two something else was a problem with my vehicle that was never a problem before. i took my car to Aamco, who deals with transmissions - they diagnosed the linkage problem, the clutch and transmission were just fine - charged me a few hundred bucks for brand new parts and labor - car shifts smooth as butter - no clutch or tranny problems. so if you want to waste your money, get disrespected and lied to - by all means go to atchinson. never again for me - thank God for Aamco. Due to Atchinson Ford last miss billing in October last year Atchinson Ford provided me 400,000 Ford Pass points. Today May 12, 2023 I called to ask they use the points and reverse the charge. The message I received said they were sorry it was to late to do that. Very strange it was still pending. I have resolved this annoying problem by contacting my credit card to dispute the charge. I called Atchinson Ford left a message. The points provided $204.03. The remaining balance is a service charge from me for my time. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN ATCHINSON FORD BELLVILLE AGAIN. I RECOMMEND U WATCH HOW AND WHAT U ARE BILLED FOR. 10/27/2022 My DISAPPOINTMENT WITH ATCHISON FORD I have been bringing my 2017 Ford Escape to the Quick Lane for several years. The reason I return is I have confidence in your service department to let me know what and when service is needed. Earlier this month I scheduled a Quick Lane oil change and tire rotation, brake inspection, I picked up the car it was fine for the following 1,800 miles, then the brakes began scrapping. I brought the car back and told not only the front needed replacement at that time but also the back. I am more than disappointed. How could the brakes have been inspected? My confidence and trust in Atchinson Ford to do a thorough job is diminished. More

Bait and Switch Service! Had a horrible experience today at Atchinson Ford Service. I brought in my Ford Fusion for what I was told was a “under extended warranty” repair cos Had a horrible experience today at Atchinson Ford Service. I brought in my Ford Fusion for what I was told was a “under extended warranty” repair cost. I am a auto engineer and did my homework. Read out the code(granted the code is generic for multiple issues), to narrow down the area, and researched online and with friends in the industry. Found out what was the root cause. I called their service, explain the situation and asked specifically if it was this part that needed replaced, is it covered. The answer from the Service rep after looking up the VIN and other things(I don’t know what exactly)….YES. Charge would be $100 deductible. He did state that the car needed to be brought in to confirm it’s this part. For this there is a $110 diagnostic fee. So after I gave it for service, they stated that the error code was due to 2 things. 1 was a unrelated issue and the other was to EXACTLY the valve that was suspect and I was told covered. However, now Atchinson stated that it is NOT COVERED and either I pay $340ish to fix it OR I pay $110 for the diagnostic fee and just take the car. After I discussed the situation with the Service Mgr and explained the situation, he basically said his guys would never do that and Pay the $110 or $340, end of story. When I stated I was rather looking for a compromise of 50% due to the communication error, he state will not do. We also got into a heated discussion about customer satisfaction and how he would not be willing to compromise over $55 and instead lose a customer. I stated just give me the car back but I will never come back to them for the deceptive practices and lack of customer service, he said fine. I have a history of service their but after this, sorry, no more. I only write this today to make others aware of this. Please be advised if you ever use them for this kind of service! More

Bait and switch I feel as though I am the victim of deceptive pricing tactics by Atchinson Ford's Quick Lane in Belleville, MI. I reached out to Atchinson Ford I feel as though I am the victim of deceptive pricing tactics by Atchinson Ford's Quick Lane in Belleville, MI. I reached out to Atchinson Ford for a price quote for a brake job on my truck and was given a price quote of $389. When the work was done and it was time to pay the bill, amount due was $1,131. After talking with the shop manager he was only able to reduce the price by $164. I reached out to the upper management and owner of the dealership to see what they could do for me. I even offered to pay 20% over the original price quote, but my offer was declined. After emailing back and forth for a week the best they would do was reduce the bill another $200. The total bill after price reductions is $767.00. Over $300 over the original price quote. In a phone conversation with Atchinson Ford's Parts and Service Director I was told that this is the best that Atchinson Ford would do and said that this $200 refund was to show "good will" to me. When I told him I was still unhappy with this he told me that he would "take the offer off the table if I were to bad mouth the dealership." Atchinson Ford currently runs a tv commercial where the dealer owner Craig Atchinson says: "I love the lake. I love the people. I love this town." This is a funny way for a dealer that expresses commitment to the people and this town, yet won't stand behind a price quote. If this has happened to me, I wonder has this happened to others as well? I picked up my vehicle today after nearly 3 weeks of waiting and a $4000 bill just to sit and listen to the parts lady say 4 separate times what a nightmare my work order was to the service manager while I was standing 3 feet away.... Well Atchinson, I apologize for being such a "nightmare" by giving you $4000 and waiting 3 weeks for my vehicle but don't worry I will not be back for service or buying any more vehicles from you again. I'm not sure if you realize but you would not be able to open your doors if it wasn't for people like me coming in for service and to purchase new vehicles, so might I suggest you treat your customers with some respect and act like professionals. I would highly suggest going to Blackwell Ford for service, my father-in-law just had $2200 in work completed on his vehicle with a 24 hour turnaround.. On the plus side, Jason in sales is the man, just too bad he's backed by such arrogance... More
