Vacation interrupted-not by sharks...by the Audi "ping,ping" My children and I were on our way to Ocean City, NJ, from Bethlehem, PA. We were an hour into our journey when a service light came on. It was the alternator - stating our battery was not being charged! We knew we were on limited time, but we were still on the turnpike far away from our regular dealership-Audi Allentown. I pulled over (being afraid to turn off the car for fear it would not restart) and called my dealership who told me it was critical to locate a closer dealership. We then called Audi Willow Grove who informed us to go to Audi Conshohocken (because they were closer for us and we were told the car could stop at any given time). When I called Audi Conshohocken, from the moment I heard the secretary's calm, reassuring, and positive invitation to bring our car in and service would look at it...to each person's welcoming "Hello", I felt confident they would take care of our car's issue. They not only took care of the car, but they were compassionate towards us. Since they knew we were on our way to vacation, Javier Gonzalez told us that he already had a loaner vehicle for us to use (a 2015 Audi allroad) which would accommodate all of our beach chairs, suitcases, etc. Mr. Gonzalez told us to continue with our vacation and return the car on our way back. (I was in tears due to the stress of almost being stranded, not knowing what to do, and then being rescued by such capable individuals.) This entire experience could have gone wrong in so many ways...the car could have stopped on the turnpike or on the Schuylkill...the dealership (which was very busy!) could have told us they didn't have time for us or not have loaned us a car (again, I never even asked for a loaner car-it was just given to us!). Fortunately, we found Audi Conshohocken and the wonderful people who are employed there. I have never experienced such "top shelf" customer service before from EVERYONE who worked there!
