Mm. .. Where to begin? 17 May 24, was my first day having any interaction with AutoNation Hyundai. Boy, was it a crazy one! I hadn't dealt with Hyundai .. Where to begin? 17 May 24, was my first day having any interaction with AutoNation Hyundai. Boy, was it a crazy one! I hadn't dealt with Hyundai for some years now due to an incident that happened with the previous dealership. This Hyundai location, in the past 8 or less years has passed through three owners and new workers (or have changed their name three times--not sure). (This doesn't reflect on AutoNation, in my eyes, because this visit was my first time dealing with them.) That being said... I scheduled a recall servicing. The rep scheduled the appointment for 0710. I get there at 0700 just to sit because the place doesn't even open until 0730. Ok. Being the first person in and just getting anti-theft sensors, it took hours. I didn't receive my vehicle until a little to 10 o'clock. I let (Jeffrey) the service rep know that Hyundai sent me a notice that I had more than just the anti-theft recall notice. The entire interaction the rep jumped mad and took as a personal attack to a situation that didn't occur with him. (To be honest, he wasn't very greeting from the moment he slid the garage door up and becked for me to roll in.) I said ok and that I'd contact Hyundai Corp Customer Service to try to get it straightened out. Done! My vehicles are done. (Both had recalls) I'm on the phone with Hyundai Corp as I'm leaving. I was stopped and spoke with two others and asked to step into the last person's office. Get inside the office to be accused of lying via amnesia(forgetfulness). He told me that people don't make mistakes, that everyone holds the same morals as him as to not do anything illegal, and that Hyundai is a multi-million dollar company that wouldn't do anything wrong. All the while, seeming to insinuate that I would. He starts to talk about the service inspection findings and I cut him off. I knew where he was going. He say, let him finish and I did. He proceeds then, again, to accuse me of trying to get over and get something for free. Well, duh! The recall... The recall I've received notices for and hadn't had completed. Like I said, I knew where he was going. Not one time did I mention anything concerning the inspection findings. From the time I walked in the door, PRIOR to them finding ANYTHING wrong, it was and IS ONLY about the recalls. SmH ***Neither of these men were there to know what was done by others prior to them.*** But they spoke so boldly as though they were there holding the previous company's employees' hand every second to see everything that went on. They definitely need to undergo training on how to deal with customers, issues, and to keep their personal feelings separate. System info can be wrong due to user error. Mistakes happen... People can even forget. (Though, I don't believe I'd forget something this serious when I didn't deal with Hyundai anymore.) Still, hypothetically, had that been a me error I would have loudly apologized for my error. But the accusations and insinuating... SmH Worse experience EVER... I was thinking about buying myself a Genesis, as a birthday gift this year, but that idea is TOTALLY OUT! I will NEVER purchase another Hyundai as long as I live. Between the experiences, this encounter, and Hyundai Corp using and selling/sharing customer data through LexisNexis. In Service, Dee was wonderful. Porters and desk staff helpful. Ladies in Parts were friendly and accommodating. Excellent waiting area and bathrooms with plenty of seating options. The dealer promptly serviced my Santa Fe at the time of my appointment and completed the 8,000 miles service in less than 2 hours. I am generally a very demanding type of customer and I detail customer service because that is very important to me, words are unnecessary! I felt in an environment in which the client comes first, the hu detail customer service because that is very important to me, words are unnecessary!
