do not buy a used vehicle from this bad business dealership!!! horrible communication. not transparent. overpriced. they put on cheaper aftermarket parts, which failed. they honored the work, but dealership!!! horrible communication. not transparent. overpriced. they put on cheaper aftermarket parts, which failed. they honored the work, but should have put on proper oem brake pads in the first place. they charge $380/hr for service, so how convenient that they do low quality work, they want you to bring it in at their rates!!! shocker. my vehicle, which only has 2500 miles on it since purchase has given me nothing but problems. a quality dealership should have done all the proper mileage work before selling, which means they make very little money on the vehicle, but its the right thing to do. timing belt, fluids replaced, rear shocker replaced, issues with suspension...none of it was addressed. i acknowledge that i should have done my due diligence on needs of the vehicle, but what happened to honesty and being a good business??? i sent an email, several, about these issues asking for the work to be honored that they should have done in the first place. i did not ask for anything beyond that. nothing. nada. not even a kind response or acknowledgment with a kind no. bad business. buyers beware More
The service department always does an exceptional job. I had my car detailed and the detailer cleaned every inch of my ascent, including a plastic cup I left in the door. I chose AutoNation Subaru Roseville because I wanted to avoid the stereotypical car dealership experience. Unfortunately, my experience was exactly what I was hoping to avoid. I received an online trade-in offer that worked for me and found the cat I wanted but it was a few hours away. I agreed to pay a $769 transfer fee in good faith to have the vehicle brought to the dealership. During the online appraisal, I accurately disclosed that my 10-year-old vehicle had the expected minor dents and dings. At no point was I told that the online trade-in value was subject to significant changes. When I arrived at AutoNation Subaru Roseville, I was told the "market had shifted” in a week and my trade-in value had dropped by $1,000. Then they applied additional deductions for the same minor dents and dings I had already disclosed, bringing the offer down another $800. The most frustrating part was a $150 deduction for windshield damage. I had replaced the windshield a few weeks before to prepare the car for sale. The only freeway driving it had seen was the trip to the dealership. They gave me a story about all windshields having damage. So this is a regular scam? The entire experience left me feeling like I had been persuaded to pay a nonrefundable transfer fee before my trade-in value was dramatically reduced, making it much harder to walk away. Whether this is intentional or simply how their appraisal process works, it felt deceptive. I came to AutoNation Subaru Roseville expecting transparency and a straightforward buying experience. Instead, I left feeling misled and cheated. My advice to anyone considering doing business here is simple: don't rely on the online trade-in valuation when making your decision, and think twice before paying a transfer fee based on it. I hope AutoNation Subaru Roseville takes a hard look at how this process affects customers because my experience fell far short of the honest, hassle-free experience I expected. More
